  1. Think that's right. It had become low prestige event which the big names ducked because of either time wasted or increased injury risk.
  2. All Olympic Sports are unfortunately under pressure from the IOC to produce mixed-sex events, no matter how much they detract from history & tradition.
  3. It's a bit of a time waster frankly. A team combined event with different people doing each leg, and multiple teams per nation.
  4. OK, it was just that all her earliest FIS results are from US ski competitions, like Joe Davis.
  5. His elder brother Zack won 2 Golds & a Silver last time.
  6. Great result for our U-23 Cross Country Skl Team in the Worlds - 10th place finally, after being as high as 6th at one point. That is certainly the first ever British Relay team this century - don't know if we ever had teams out back in 80s and early 90s when we were last active in the sport. Team was Gabriel Gledhill, the only one with World Cup Starts, Tabitha Williams, James Slimon & Elke Hammerstein (seems to be a US import) - the two girls are 20 and 19, so plenty of time left to develop on the U-23 circuit.
  7. Good news is that it's possible to pause & rewind a live stream but arrived too late to see.it all. Enjoyed the dancing ninja warriors though.
  8. And more - 19th place for Tabitha Williams, pretty sure that is our best ever female result in any global event. And we're seeing a revival of after aboot 15 years of nothing much.
  9. always used to be the of Asian Classic
  10. Do the snowboard & pray for cancelled days leading up to the downhill, simples.
  11. Getting really busy now - Milrose Games from NYC tonight. https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-indoor-tour/news/records-millrose-games-2025-new-york
  12. Catenaccio tactics didn't work, huh?
  13. Been a while since we've had a good judging scandal & here's a classic. "A Cypriot rhythmic gymnastics judge has been banned for four years for manipulating scores to help her compatriot qualify for the Paris Olympics." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/ckgnp3j646xo
  14. Live coverage that annoyingly restricted kind that you can't rewind or pause, but some commentary at least, so if you miss your bus you miss the ceremony. Will wait for the repost.
  15. Karlsruhe Meet tomorrow, always one of the big ones. https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-indoor-tour/news/indoor-meeting-karlsruhe-ogunleye-mitton-jackson-mihambo-nordas
  16. Yeah, knew about the pools.
  17. These Swedish Champs are on non-geoblocked FTA if you want to watch them, although mixed up with lots of other sports like old traditional Swedish winter classics dating to the age of Gustavus Vasa like 10-pin bowling and E-Sports. SM-veckan | SVT Play
  18. Perfect thanks, like the FISU Games not everything but a good selection.

  21. Starting tomorrow with some Day -3 Girls' Hockey action. And there are two hard-fought derbies! v v
  22. Yeah, pretty sure she did. Last result February 2023.
  23. Damn, we are now officially -365 days away! Actually less if we count Mixed Curling on Day -2 as the beginning.
  24. Brilliant organiser idea to set up an official 50m timer line for all the 60m events, reaped a rich harvest of NRs & ARs.
  25. 400m runner Thomas Barr retires. Leaves Irish Athletics in its best-ever health, which is a tribute in itself. https://www.rte.ie/sport/athletics/2025/0129/1493606-barr-calls-time-on-decorated-career-on-track/
