    Musk isn’t finding fraud and waste in the government, and certainly nobody who is protesting him believes that DOGE is in any way effective at their stated mission, so nobody is mad at him for doing that.

    It might be a hot take but I actually think having stricter voter ID laws would be good for Democrats under the current political alignment. Dems benefit from lower turnout, so the more hoops there are to vote the better it is for them. Kind of a fascinating reversal from how it was pre-Trump, where lower turnout benefited Republicans.

    Oh I know it’s happened. But we’re in a big country, a lot of shit happens. There is a lot of disdain for Musk on the left (for many reasons) but the people who actually committed vandalism or arson are a vanishingly small minority. The whole "firebombing a WalMart" thing is a running joke for a reason.

    Maybe it would be youthful, urban and gender neutral to wait until 2028.

    Pereira and (especially) Michaud not having a good outing, really looking dire for a third spot in pairs. Edit: they will finish no lower than 11th, which means a third spot is still possible but it requires other teams to implode and/or for Stellato-Dudek and Deschamps to climb way, way up.

    No, but it would give Canada the chance to earn a second quota at the final qualifying competition. To get two or three quotas from Worlds you need two or three skaters / pairs to qualify for the free skate.
