Unless there are last minute injuries/withdrawals or surprise quota re-allocations, Spain  should go to Paris with a squad of 382 athletes (190 men & 192 women), the largest one in history besides ofc Barcelona '92 at home.

Thanks in great part to the excellent qualifying campaign when it comes to team sports, having representation in both men & women competitions in Football, Basketball, Handball, Waterpolo & Field Hockey + women's 3x3 Basketball. IIRC only France, USA & Australia have a bigger representation in team sports, + tied with Japan with 11.

The only sports without Spanish representation in Paris will be Volleyball (6x6 indoors, I mean), Rugby 7, BMX Cycling, Wrestling, Weightlifting and Breakdance.

Considering how difficult it is to qualify in this sport, I think it's pretty remarkable that from 1980 onwards,  only missed the 2000 Olympics in men's basketball. 11 out of the last 12. Only  and  have a perfect record. In Europe the closest team is , that competed in 7 out of 8 Olympics after the independence. Let's see if they make it 8 out of 9 in a few hours.

Not ultra-safe/locked by any means but the most predictable Gold medal options are in Race Walk, either Álvaro Martín in Men's competition, María Pérez in Women's competition or the mixed marathon relay race. Both Martín & Pérez are the current world champions.

The other one is Jordi Xammar & Nora Brugman in Sailing (470 mixed), they've been almost unbeaten during this olympic cycle.
