  1. Brazil out of U20 world cup. & qualified
  2. Not as relevant as these matches of course, but in the "6 nations B" Germany defeated Romania big upset. Maybe Germany will play their first WC in 2019...
  3. That's one ambitious schedule If some indoor volleyball had to be included I'd like a return of the world league or grand prix instead of Norceca championships to be honest. Also I have no idea who here follows women's rugby union... Anyway, if you can make 21 events, you're a god.
  4. [hide] Round Robin February 4th - March 18th, 2017 6 Nations, One Group, 1st Nation wins the championship. 5. Well, I'm kind of a purist for prediction, so I don't like any kind of bonuses (I don't even like the multipliers for knockout stages!). I think they increase the "luck" factor and decrease the "pure knowledge" factor to decide the winner, which I don't like too much.
  6. Buenos Aires will bid for PanAms 2023 hope we get this, it would be the perfect moment to host.
  7. haha bestmen was right at the end, just as I told you
  8. bestmen is gonna be sooo right, Norway will play the final
  9. So, the world league and champions trophy will be replaced by some sort of home and away league that will serve as qualification for the next olympics. FIH asked nations to send bids to participate in both or either men's and women's competition and these were the nations that made the first cut: Both men's and women's: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, England, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain. Only Women: China, Italy, USA Only Men: Malaysia, Pakistan Canada was the only top 16 men's nation that didn't bid, Malaysia also wanted to bid for women's but were rejected due to low ranking. The final cut will be down to 8 or 9 per gender and those nations will participate in the new league. I would say that Argentina, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and England are 99% sure going to get both teams in. Also I think India and Belgium men and USA/NZ women are 99% in too. So, that would leave 1 or 2 spots for men and women available..
  10. Why would the football national team and Cibulkova need state support? they earn millions already... In Argentina all big money professional athletes are excluded from state support (football, tennis, basketball or volleyball players are only supported at youth level).
  11. & advance to semifinal round of women's world league. The latter made an slight upset beating , who will have now to wait to get a best third place in next round (it is highly likely). Ireland strong team, was close to the olympics and should now qualify for world cup.
  12. 1st half of argentina: missed shot, turnover, missed shot, turnover, missed shot, turnover... At least they reduced the difference to keep a little chance vs Egypt.
  13. As some may or may not have noticed since a few days ago my username color has gone back to blue, which means I've resigned as administrator. I hope the new people can take proper charge of prediction contests as I couldn't. From what I see tuniscof is doing an excellent job so far, rest assured that this will be in better hands from now on
  14. Today started in Malaysia the first tournament of World League round 2, which gives two places (and maybe a best 3rd eventually) in semifinal round. & should have no big trouble taking the 2 available places, should take 3rd, but has to watch out for
  15. It's not a surprise Qatar losing either, they lost half of their bought foreigners.
  16. I think you didn't read well, he meant that Africa should have more places, not less.
  17. Europe has enough with 16, I would give it to Africa, they can do a 10th competitive team. Between a Gabon or a Hungary, I prefer Gabon.
  18. Feliz año nuevo
  19. Here is like that, a family get-together but no specific tradition or meal, other than giving presents.
  20. Well, I can't speak for Wanderer but in my case, it's likely that I'm going to quit after I'm done with the remaining team sport results and leave the job to other users with more spare time. The compromise I took for the olympics was the Bet Contest and 4 other team sport competitions and sadly I was only able to do 2 contests in proper time. I apologize for the inconveniences, I thought I was going to have the time to take care of everything relatively quickly but I didn't and I don't feel good about it (because, like you, I also wish to know my personal results after the effort put in filling the tables).
  21. 1 - 2 World Junior Men's Champions 2nd Title (2001, 2016) Individual Awards Best player: Enrique Gonzalez de Castejón U19 Up & Coming player: Timm Herzbruch Best Goalkeeper: Loic van Doren Top Scorer: Edward Horler (8 goals)
  22. 2-2 FT we go to extra-time. Kashima had many chances near the end and Ramos should have been sent off
  23. Kashima winning
  24. Madrid 1 - 1 Kashima HT First goal conceded by an european team in last 4 years of Club WC.
  25. Messi played better than Ronaldo this year though. I even think Pepe deserved the ball more than him...
