  1. did pretty good in this tournament considering the injuries and lacking some attacking talent. Based on level shown should win this final, but has too many great players to be written off even if they play poorly.
  2. We played like ass again, no chance to win this final. Half of the team is in terrible form, especially Messi. Only way we win is making it to a shootout.
  3. Trying to make sense of this: "Predictors can only choose athletes from the same nation in up to maximum 50% of the events in each sport. Example: Athletes and duos from China in diving events can only be choosen for a maximum of 2 events as diving have 4 events in total. Example: Athletes and duos from China in badminton events can only be choosen for a maximum of 2 events as badminton have 5 events in total. This is to keep under the 50% limit for each sport. Example: For artistic gymnastics the limit for women's events are 3 (total events 6) and for men 4 (total events 8)." Doesn't diving have 8 events total? Or is the limit per gender as the last sentence seems to imply? how is that consistent with the given example about Badminton then?

  6. Just a reminder that Puerto Rico actually has more people than Lithuania. If anything it's remarkable that the latter remained such long time within the top nations of a sport that isn't exactly small.
  7. Basically anyone from & (nothing personal with the athletes but seeing someone from these countries win always feels like some bureaucratic action with no emotion taking place). And a few arrogant europeans here and there, as usual.
  8. Really poor game. Messi is not fit to play from the start, he should honestly be benched (but it won't happen ofc).
  9. Did Mbappe, Thuram, etc. receive any kind of punishment for campaigning against a political party or press conferences are exempt from this?
  10. Volleyball Poland men's team will win a medal. A team from the Asian Volleyball Confederation will win a medal (men's or women's). (Note: phrased like this so people don't ask about Turkey) Handball France will defend both titles. Hockey The top scorer of the women's competition will be a dutch player. Great Britain will win a medal (men's or women's). Football Spain will win the women's or men's gold medal (or both). At least one overaged player (born 2000 or before) will receive a red card in the men's tournament. Water Polo The USA women's team will lose a match. Rugby Sevens The women's final will feature Australia and New Zealand. At least one medal match will be decided in extra-time. Tennis At least one player (man or woman) that has never advanced further than the round of 16 at the French Open singles tournament will win a singles medal in Paris 2024. General At least six south american nations will medal. At least two NOCs will win their first olympic medal. Mexico will finish higher than Colombia in the medal table. 11. Rocío Sanchez Moccia (Hockey) & Luciano De Cecco (Volleyball)
  12. Sailing seems to have a "safe pick" for gold in almost every event except windsurfing and women's dinghy. The most obvious is in Nacra, the main Italian crew won the last 3 WChs and (almost) every big event in the cycle as well.

  14. Overall a weaker squad than we hoped for. Over a dozen underaged players denied by european clubs not to mention the overaged ones.

  16. Watched the entire match, it was so close. My condolences, @hckošice.
  17. Brazil and USA certainly a step below. Slovenia... I don't think they are clutch in big games but with such strong record in VNL I can't write them off. Germany was great in the OQT but winning a medal with such mid team and an ancient star would be asking too much.
  18. The only teams that can realistically win a medal are . Maybe with a lot of luck. I don't think & have enough.

  20. Men's Dark horse: Women's Dark horse: Order is just alphabetic, I don't have it very clear in either gender. Disclaimer: "Dark horse" doesn't mean 4th favorite.
  21. What's the excuse for Chivas then?
