Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.
 
However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.

Well, I'm sad and happy at the same time. I'm happy because I expected it and we're not taking a spot away from a country that deserved it more.
 
But, we used to be one of the leading basketball countries, we were world champions and Olympic runners-up. Now we can't even qualify for a world tournament anymore, always losing to teams like Puerto Rico, a declining Serbia, an ascending Germany, and now being left out by the hardworking Czech Republic and Mali...
 
The worst part is that there won't be any improvement. Nobody cares about losers, nobody cares about women's basketball here. The national league is terrible, there are no young players, the national federation doesn't care...

And for anyone interested, the Felix Lebrun  / Hugo Calderano  QF bout just now was epic.  Worth going back and watching.  (Interesting that the Chinese audience seem to be big Felix fans.)

Happy to see good names for Brazil, this sport used to be our main strength, it was sad to finish Paris 2024 without any medals. 

Anyway, these last few years have been magical for us.
