M E X I C O Mexico's proud to be part of Totallympics Annual International Song Contest one more time, and even with some delay, is ready to present their representatives: the synth pop band Cámilo Séptimo accompanied by past contestant Ximena Sariñana. Beginning as a rock group in 2013, Camilo Séptimo (whose name is a pun on 70´s Spanish singer Camilo Sexto) took a new direction when they met with some members of Costa Rican group Patterns four years later, so far the only entry from Latin America to obtaina prize at TISC's Special Edition in 2020, and decided to experiment with new rhythms and trends. They'll be joined by Sariñana, an artist with over two decades in Mexican entertainment, who this time will be looking to surpass the 21th place she obtained at the Open edition held in the Netherlands 4 years ago. At the Hungarian city of Szeged they'll be performing last year's song Contracorriente, a title that can be translated as "against the flow", with the lyrics further explaining that this is doing the opposite to what common sense would dictate.
