I'd assume that Patrick Huston would go back on to the WCP - he is the highest ranked British Archer in the world currently at Number 28, so it does seem strange that he wasn't on the programme. -

The announcement is pretty ambiguous. Pitman said that the first year of an Olympic cycle was "the perfect time to see what else is out there, learn different skills, and to build a new career." She has now joined JP Morgan as an intern but hasn't ruled out being back for LA. Wise on the other hand has said that he "didn't have another 4 years of the grind left to give" - so I'm not expecting to see him in the mix for Los Angeles. He is however planning to compete in some national compound competitions. Finally, Bettles has explained her departure through the lens of injury - "The past few years since Tokyo have been a struggle for me with a string of injuries and struggles with my mental health." So, whilst it is probably unlikely, it's not impossible that she too could be back if that's what she decides she wants. -

I don't think the performance squad is finalised yet. GB Triathlon have confirmed the athletes who have been retained on the program but haven't announced any additions yet. I would expect to see Stapely move on to the performance pathway in the next announcement -

I don't think so. The individual races were yesterday so would have assumed that if they covered it, it would have been available on the iPlayer by now. But let's be honest, if it's not football. the BBC realy aren't all that interested -

It was a solid day 1 of European Champs for the Brits with a silver in the women's team sprint whilst the men took bronze. Unfortunately, we missed out on the podium in the men's elimination and women's scratch races with William Perrett taking 8th place whilst Anna Morris finished in 5th In qualifying for the team pursuit, the British women finished 3rd in qualifying but were almost 4 seconds behind leaders Germany. The men's squad qualified in 2nd and were just over half a second behind Denmark.

GB Archery have announced that Bryony Pitman, Sarah Bettles and Alex Wise are all leaving the World Class Olympic Programme. Their departure leaves the squad pretty depleted - to the point that we don't have enough archers to make up a women's team. Men's Recurve: Monty Orton Tom Hall Conor Hall Women's Recurve: Megan Havers Penny Healey Hopefully there is some new talent coming through that will be able to step up -

British Triathlon have confirmed the athletes on their World Class Programme for 2025: Men's Squad: Alex Yee Sam Dickinson Connor Bentley Hugo Milner Barclay Izzard Dan Dixon Women's Squad: Beth Potter Georgia Taylor-Brown Sophie Coldwell Kate Waugh Olivia Mathias Jess Fullagar Sophie Alden Tilly Anema Vicky Holland leaves the programme after her decision to retire whilst Jonny Brownlee also leaves the programme after putting in sterling service to the sport in the UK. Jess Learmouth and Jack Willis will also drop out of the programme. We should hear later about any additions to the squad - I am a bit surprised not to see Max Stapley on the squad given he is the British number 3 and is ranked 30th in the world. -

British Shooting have announced the athletes on their World Class Programme. As part of the preparation for LA, they have introduced a new classification - LA Fast Track - which is designed to support athletes with potential to progress towards Podium Potential in this Olympic cycle. Trap Podium/Podium Potential: Aaron Heading, Matt Coward Holley, Nathan Hales & Lucy Hall LA Fast Track: Ewen Ross & Tom Betts Skeet Podium/Podium Potential: Ben Llewellin, Mitchell Brooker-Smith & Amber Rutter LA Fast Track: Arran Eccleston & Maddie Russell Rifle Podium/Podium Potential: Seonaid McIntosh LA Fast Track: Dean Bale, Mike Bargeron & Ruth Mwandumba Pistol LA Fast Track: James Miller, Sam Gowin & Jess Liddon There's not much movement since last year's announcement - Sam Gowin moves from the Podium Potential to LA Fast Track. Most of the Fast Track Athletes were part of the National Academy squad last year. Next month we should also get announcement of the Olympic Potential Programme athletes. -
The European Championships get underway tomorrow in Heusden-Zolder tomorrow. As is usually the case in the non-Olympic qualifying cycle years, the GB squad is missing a lot of our biggest names but there should still be plenty of reasons to be optimistic for strong medal haul. Women's Squad: Ella Barnwell Lauren Bell Rhian Edmunds Neah evans Jenny Holl Sophie Leech Tegan Lewis Margaret Moir Anna Morris Rhianna Parris-Smith Kate Richardson Men's Squad: Matthew Bostock Rhys Britton Josh Charlton Lyall Craig Michael Gill Alfred Hobbs Harry Ledingham-Horn Hayden Norris William Perrett Charles Radford William Tidball Matthew Walls Micheal Wiggins

Interesting dilemma for the selectors after the Scottish curling champs this weekend. On the women's side, it looks like Rebecca Morrison has moved into vice-skip position with lead Sophie Jackson taking over the role of skip. They were beaten in the final by Fay Henderson's rink. Given the critical nature of the World Champs this year for Olympic qualification, will the selectors keep faith with Morrison or give the nod to Henderson? For the men I have a feeling that Mouat will probably still be selected for the World Champs despite losing the Scottish final to Ross Whyte. They've had a pretty strong start to the year in the Grand Slam and at the Europeans.
