  1. Couple of our vaulters and putters are in action over the next couple of days. 8-May: Hvezdne Hazeni : Scott Lincoln goes in the Shot Put. 8-May: Birchfield Harrier Open Meet : Amelia Campbell scheduled to compete in Shot Put. 9-May: Jump & Fly 2024 : Adam Hague, Owen Heard and Sophie Cook are all scheduled to compete in the Pole Vault.
  2. BTW the entry lists for British Diving Champs are now available. Entries_-_Speedo_Aquatics_GB_Diving_Championships.pdf
  3. According to the selection policy, the individual champions will be selected - but to guarantee their selection they have to hit specific scores in both the prelim and final: Springboard: 460/480 for men and 290/310 for women. Platform: 450/480 for men and 315/320 for women. Don't think it's a huge gamble - I think with the possible exception of women's springboard, we pretty much know who is going to win each event - Noah Williams and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix for platform and Jack Laugher for 3m springboard. For the women's springboard, it will be either Grace Reid or Yasmin Harper
  4. Easier to say who definitely won't be doubling based on the confirmed entries for British Diving Champs/Olympic Selection meet: Tom Daley won't be going in the individual 10m platform I don't think he has competed individually since his return, so this isn't a huge surprise. Anthony Harding isn't entered for the individual springboard event and neither is Scarlett Mew-Jensen so unless they apply for a late entry for the British Champs, they won't be doubling up either. For what it is worth, the winner of the individual events at the British Champs will be guaranteed selection is they hit required scores in both prelims and finals. The second sport is essentially at the discretion of the selectors with performances from Doha WC and the Diving world Cup being taken into account.
  5. From the nations competing, were the 3rd placed team on 1961 behind on 2002 and on 1979. There are 27 teams entered for the team event and if the GB archers can replicate the performance they had last week then there's a decent chance we could get top 8 in qualifying - but that would still mean we would likely have to defeat one from the likes of to get to the semi-finals and be in with a shout of a quota this week.

  9. Decent number of Brits announced for Friday's Diamond League meeting in Doha: Lawrence Okoye goes in the discus. He was due to compete in the discus hotbed that is Ramona Oklahoma last month but was a DNS. His season's best is 64.47m Molly Caudery opens her outdoor season in the pole vault against a pretty strong field including Sandi Morris, Tine Sutej and Nina Kennedy. Caudery already has the OQS, so this is all about maintaining her early season firm. Morgan Lake goes in the high jump. she had a great season last year and I'm hoping she can repeat that this year but the event is stacked with talent and it's going to come down to consistency if she wants to win a medal in Paris. Alex Bell, Isabelle Boffey and Jemma Reekie all line up in the 800m. Mary Moraa and Natoya Goule-Toppin likely to be the main competition. Georgia Bell, Melissa Courtney-Bryant and Reeve Walcott-Nolan will run 1500m Elliot Giles will compete in the 1500m. Getting on to the middle distance team for GB is going to be so tough and at some point this year, I think Giles is going to have to make a choice on whether he focusses on the 800m or the 1500m Fresh off her success relay legs in the Bahamas, Amy Hunt will line up alongside Daryll Neita in the 100m.
  10. Don't think I've ever seen a men's kit quite like
  11. You'll probably find that relays will be added to some of the meets that are going to be held over the next few weeks - particularly in those meets being held in countries that are chasing a time
  12. Pretty poor first change over by
  13. Much better run from the 16 year-old on leg 2.
  14. No - nations are only allowed to make 1 change to their line-up for the mixed. As it is, GB have decided to stick with the same squad as last night.
  15. GB sticking with Brodie Young for the mixed - guess the hope is that last night was just an off race. Even if he can be a little sharper, it will give Pipi the chance to get into a stronger position from the start of her leg.
  16. No big surprise, but Volleyball England have confirmed the team for the CEV Beach Volleyball Nations Cup - Bello/Bello and Bialokoz/Batrane. Action kicks off 18th May with / in a group with and
