  2. New Discus PB of 45.75m for Jack Turner in Arkansas last night. He's added almost 1m to his best in this event so far in 2024 having competed 3 times and setting 2 new PBs. The only time he hasn't made it over 45m this year was in the decathlon at Mt. Sacs Relay. At the same meet, Cindy Sember equaled her SB in the 100m with a time of 11.64.

  7. Also worth saying that the results of the final will determine the seeding and lane draw for Paris.
  8. I'm having flashbacks to high school French classes.......not a happy time
  9. This isn't a long-standing approach from world rowing - I think it was a fudge they adopted last year after the IOC recommended allowing them back into international competition.
  10. This is the same approach that other federations have taken - they are applying the ban to Russian teams but sports like Canoe, Rowing and Tennis do not define a pair/double as a team.
  11. A couple of meets taking place today: Arkansas Twilight Meet - Cindy Sember will be doing some speed work as she competes in the 100m. Jack Turner will be going in the 110m hurdles, pole vault and discus. Tom Tellez Meet, Texas - Louie Hinchliffe will be looking to follow up his win at Penn Relays as he goes in the 100m. UAE Athletics Grand Prix - Frustratingly can't find online presence for this meet but apparently, Josh Faulds, Kesi Oludoyi, Finette Agyepong, Leonie Ashmeade, Tommy Ramhan, Chris McAllister and Reynold Banigo are all taking part.
  12. Anyone have a link for tomorrow's UAE Athletics Grand Prix event in Dubai? I can't find any online presence which is pretty poor for a Bronze level Continental Tour event.
  13. Further lineups for the Savona International Meeting on 15-May have been announced. Jeremiah Azu, Reece Prescod and Eugene Amo-Dadzie are scheduled to compete over 100m. Azu had a great run at the Kip Keino Classic last month but was denied an OQS and new PB by a +2.2m/s tailwind. Prescod and Amo-Dadzie have both gone under 10 seconds but not within the qualifying window. Also looks like Josh Zeller is going in the 110m hurdles and Alastair Chalmers will go in the 400m hurdles.
  14. To be fair, I've seen a lot of chat online about them trying to get Jess back for an uneven bars routine in Paris but I can't see it happening and it's beam where we seem to have the problem so not sure there would be much upside to rushing her back.
  15. No mistake - GB women cannot compete at the European Continental qualifier because Penny Healey won the individual quota at last year's European Games. The women's team will be competing for the team quota at the European Championships which take place next week.
  16. Think it's Jennifer who is back tumbling - Jessica is still working on strength and conditioning although she has been allowed to start running again.
  17. WAG European Championships Rimini Women's Vault Finalists: 1.) Coline Devillard - 13.983 (14.500/13.466) 2.) Ming Van Eijken - 13.833 (14.300/13.366) 3.) Valentina Georgieva - 13.816 (14.100/13.533) 4.) Ana Barbosu - 13.633 (13.666/13.600) 5.) Camille Rasmussen - 13.433 (13.766/13.100) 6.) Karina Schoenmaeier - 13.383 (13.233/13.533) 7.) Alice Kinsella - 13.466 4.) Morgane Osyssek-Reimer - 13.400 5.) Angela Andreoli - 13.400 6.) Abigail Martin - 13.233 7.) Alba Petisco - 13.166 8.) Ming Van Eijken - 13.033 Women's Uneven Bars Finalists: 1.) Alice D'Amato - 14.633 2.) Beckie Downie - 14.500 3.) Elisa Iorio - 14.300 4.) Helen Kevric - 14.066 5.) Nathalie Westlund - 13.733 6.) Georgia-Mae Fenton - 13.733 7.) Filipa Martins - 13.700 8.) Zoja Szekely - 13.666 Women's Balance Beam Finalists: 1.) Manila Esposito - 14.200 2.) Sabrina Maneca-Voinea - 14.100 3.) Marine Boyer - 13.800 4.) Alice D'Amato - 13.766 5.) Lilia Cosman - 13.266 6.) Ana Perez - 13.166 7.) Alba Petisco - 13.133 8.) Polina Diachenko - 13.000
  18. WAG European Championships Rimini Day 1 Results: Women's Individual All Around: 1.) Manila Esposito - 55.432 2.) Alice D'Amato - 54.831 3.) Angela Andreoli - 53.766 4.) Alice Kinsella - 53.599 ------------------------------------------ 5.) Sabrina Maneca-Voinea - 52.700 6.) Alba Petisco - 52.699 7.) Georgia-Mae Fenton - 52.665 8.) Morgane Osyssek-Reimer - 52.432 9.) Lilia Cosman - 52.366 10.) Zoja Szekely - 52.032 11.) Maellyse Brassart - 51.932 - Secures quota for Paris.
  19. WAG European Championships Rimini Day 1 Results: Women's Team Qualifying: 1.) - 165.296 2.) - 161.430 3.) - 159.130 4.) - 158.798 5.) - 154.462 6.) - 153.995 7.) - 153.697 8.) - 152.430
  20. Bronze medal for Kinsella. Technically she finished in 4th place but it was behind 3 Italians so under the 2 per country rule, she gets the medal. The team finished qualifying in second place behind Italy, but it was a long way behind - almost 4 points. Difficult to see how they close that gap in the final. It's going to be slim pickings for individual finals - Becky Downie will go into uneven bars final as 2nd highest qualifier along with Georgia-Mae Fenton. Alice Kinsella and Abigail Martin will go in the floor final with Kinsella going in as the 3rd highest qualifier.
  21. Individual All-Around: 1.) Manila Esposito - 55.432 2.) Alice D'Amato - 54.831 (3) Angela Andreoli - 53.766 3.) Alice Kinsella - 53.599 Although Andreoli finishes in 3rd the bronze medal is awarded to Kinsella due to the 2 per country rule.
  22. Clean sweep for in the individual all-around (I think - the live scoring site has crashed)
  23. The good start for British women hits a bit of a speed bump on balance beam. Beckie Downie top scorer for the team on 12.933. Looks like Fenton had a fall but Downie and Kinsella both hit clean routines. Team score 38.199 so down on both Antwerp and Liverpool.
  24. Asia D'Amato reportedly had an issue during her floor routine and had to be carried off the floor.
  25. Halfway through the comp and the Brits have had clean routines. 41.566 for uneven bars - including a 14.500 for Beckie Downie. That's a full point more than their 2022 World's score and just under 2 points more than they scored in Antwerp. Currently the team are sitting on 83.432 and are running about 3 points higher than their score from last year but about 1.2 points less than they scored in Liverpool.
