That's a really, really old rule in FIS Big Air - the two counting jumps must be of a different direction (depending on the competition, either clockwise / counterclockwise or having every variation of forward/switch or goofy/regular and clockwise/anticlockwise/straight count as a unique direction).
That is what the A, B and sometimes C on the result list refer to - not which direction (sadly that's not listed), but whether the jump is a repeated direction or not.

Too many to write them down just like that. But i will try to make a list in a few days time. A really good idea for a new thread, Josh.

Mikael Kingsbury with WC victory #91, really starting to close in on 100, with gold in moguls at the Ruka WC!
Edit: Also, a 4th for Maia Schwinghammer. Best ever WC result in moguls for her.

Josh got a reaction from brunamoura in Which Athletes will you be rooting for at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics
I’ll start first;
Obviously, @brunamoura in cross country skiing if she qualifies (no pressure)
and Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo.
Curling: Team Hasselborg and Team Edin, Kaldvee/Lill, and to a lesser extent Team Fujisawa and Team Schwaller
Ice Hockey: Elias Pettersson/Elias Lindholm, Pius Suter, Arturs Silovs/Teddy Blueger, whichever Canucks are on United States’ men’s team, Filip Hronek and Finland’s men’s team if Lankinen can keep up his good play (Even though he’s probably going to get traded from the Canucks after this season, he prefers being on a team where he can get more starts than more money. Still I have a soft spot for him)
Alpine Skiing: Marco Odermatt, Aleksandr Aamodt Kilde, AJ Ginnis, and to a slightly lesser extent Johannes Strolz
Freestyle Skiing: Jakara Anthony, Birk Ruud, Sina Sigenthaler, Ryan Regez, Kelly Sildaru (for more reasons than one), Eileen Gu
Snowboarding: Leon Ulbricht, Marcus Kleveland, Anna Gasser, Benjamin Karl, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott
Ski Mountaineering: Oriol Cardona Coll and that’s it for now…
Speed Skating: Jutta Leerdam, Jordan Stolz, Marten Liiv, Bart Swings
Luge: Thomas Steu/Wolfgang Kindl, Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt
From a Canadian perspective, I’m rooting for our men’s hockey team above all. Then, our curling teams, especially Team Homan if she wins Olympic Trials. Then Max Parrot, Mikael Kingsbury, Eliot Grondin, William Dandjinou, our women’s hockey team, and our ski cross squad. But really I’ll be rooting for all of our athletes.
I like Hammerle, but I’ll be rooting against him at the Olympics

Decided to start a thread on this early, and get some discussion
When I mean athletes, I mean athletes from other countries mainly… but ones that represent your country work too

Josh reacted to heywoodu in Cross-Country Skiing Discussion | Qualification to Winter Olympic Games Milano-Cortina 2026
Not really working, cross-country has that in order a lot better than alpine skiing
Nowadays if you're able to get 300 FIS points, you're certainly able to ski a decent race at least. The athletes you might see at world championships, where some of them might be in one of their first ever races on snow and they are still learning basic technique, definitely won't be able to get 300 points or better.

World Cup kicked off with a couple mixed relays
Single mixed wasn't pretty. Lunder and Pletz paired up and finished 20th. Both really struggled shooting the first time around, and were battling for dead last... but did improve the second half and picked up 4 spots
Surprisingly good showing for the full mixed relay considering I think this was the first ever WC race for three of them, managed not to get lapped and finished 16th. During Moser's leg they got up to about 12th briefly.
Runnals interestingly did not compete.
Ski times continue to be an issue pretty much across the board, but such is our fate it seems

Josh reacted to heywoodu in 2026 Winter Olympics - Very Early Predictions
It's generally just called the skiathlon, so having a 'X km and X km' in the title is a bit confusing. The point is that the race is cut into two halves, one is done in the classic technique, the other in the freestyle (skating technique), so in this case it's a 20km race
-
Josh reacted to rafalgorka in 2026 Winter Olympics - Very Early Predictions
That was the same for me.
And it's obviously too early, just for fun.
Now it's more like predictions for 2024/2025 winter sports World Championships than 2026 olympics actually...
And still - it was done before 24/25 world cup events in some sports started (e.g. nordic combined, downhill and super-G in alpine, skicross etc...)
so it will have to be updated for sure...
