  1. Joy Beune of Netherlands takes gold over veteran Czech Martina Sablikova with another talented young Dutch, Merel Conijn who settles for bronze.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-rUZ4tzOlI Day 1 starts tonight with men's 5000 meters and women's 3000 meters, both races being won by Dutch athletes last year. Will Netherlands crown again, this time on Norwegian track? Later we get the men and women team sprint races.
  3. Italian football had its share of shocking surprises this season, some that maybe you would not see years ago. So after Internazionale beating Lazio 6-0 away earlier in the season, yesterday it was Atalanta Bergamo's time to put 4 unanswered goals in Torino over Juventus. Taking the post to a more close theme towards LA 2028, given the birthdate of the scorers last night, I'd say Retegui and Lookman would have chance to make one of the over 23 players in the squad, of course if their teams qualify.
  4. Concacaf Nations Cup, League B at the moment. Grenada Vs Curacao, live from Saint Lucia No water pistolet action here...must be the saints of the location...
  5. Sofisticated mama this Cristiana.
  6. Any chance to see Maduro as a small forward in the next match? :))
  7. Is there a possibility to have a music contest in which every participant can pick any song from any country no matter what year produced? All participants would vote similar as in Eurovision or by the rules you have here (I didn't follow much, I admit). Every song once used by somebody, would not be able to be picked again for 10 editions, let's say. What do you think about this idea? PS: I will read all rules used here the next week.
  8. Put Trump there too.
  9. Of course. Totallympics is the finest sports forum I know. Feels great to be here with you guys!
  10. Ingebrigtsen redivivus.
  11. Both and looking for their 3rd gold medal.
  12. Well done Furlani. Future Olympic champion!
  13. It's a nice feeling to tell my disabilititated daughter these girls have to jump over water and see the smile on her face. Priceless feeling.
  14. Good luck for the 4th consecutive Olympic gold medal!
  15. Impressive France in the first two quarters.
  16. Well, the dream sequel of this is almost over. 2nd round, 1st leg: Panevezys - Jagiellonia 0-4 Bodo/Glimt - RFS 4-0 Close to zero chances for another over the border clash.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEb3Kreg5W0 Best I can come up with: highlights But I guess you've already seen it.
  18. Well, it should matter that it's a shot with the intention to score. If things continue to go like this in this fast football we have today, we'll have more own goals than goals sometime in the future.
  19. Deflections, deflections. However, it doesn't feel right the current decision on who scored the goal. I think then when it is about today's goal, the credit should be given to Kolo Mouani as he shoots toward goal. No matter how good or bad. On the other hand, yesterday's own goal of Le Normand should stay as own goal because the ball was not shot on goal and the cross was intended for the forward. I think things should be this simple.
  20. I can't go to Paris for a number of reasons and I hope (it's not up to me unless I decide for a NO) I won't have my right knee operated those very days. Anyway, I'll cheer for my country, of course and maybe watch as much as I could team sports, athletics, swimming and gymnastics. I'd like to extend that to equestrian, canoeing, rowing, sailing and triathlon, regardless if there is a Romanian athlete involved or not. As for cheering for other countries' athletes, I've always had my "crushes" like Guatemala, Curacao, Guyana, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uganda, Botswana and many others. Rooting for the "small" countries in essence.
  21. Second yellow card obtained by Doku was not that obvious as the first.
  22. So far Italians interested more in stepping on Swiss feet. Now you need a referee like Kovács.
