I don't like this system. Good teams don't get the chance to progress to the knock-out stage (in this case quarter-finals). Maybe IRB ough to think about what changes can be made. It's sad to see Argentina or France or England go home after the group stage. Or should I say this time Wales or Scotland/Ireland were lucky with the draw? Either way, it doesn't look fair.

I wonder if Chris Gayle will play again this season in Pakistani T20 or Bangladesh T20 league (I'm not sure which one was last season or if there were both ) before (and if) he takes on giants from IPL next April.

Well, I suspect the Greeks have to do a little with all the names in the Middle East antiquity. In Romanian we call him Cyrus also, to not mention Cambises for instance, it's easier to pronounce than having to pronounce the Iranian name. As far as I can see by the time of the Abbasyd Caliphate the Sasanid Empire was already conquered and by the end of this dinasty the Arabs and Chinese were already foes in south-eastern nowadays Kazakhstan. Yeah, today we are fighting each other for resources and markets but the war is mainly run on the economy side. Everybody is at war with everybody. I think that the "national" reason why we fought wars in the past is outdated today.

Will this be a "rematch" of Cyrus the Great taking the Neo-Babilonian Empire in 539 BC or Caliph Uthman conquering Fars and Khorasan in 650-651? :D Just kidding, nobody likes wars. I hope we won't get there.
