    W zapasach inaczej, niż w judo zasadniczo nie ma 3-4 egzotycznych rywali w pierwszej walce, więc losowania są generalnie trudniejsze już z definicji. Co do trenera z kajaków, no cóż, jak nie ma wyników to następuje taki kontrolowany przeciek i trzeba zbierać szambo. Niestety ten sport jest anonimowy medialnie poza IO, więc nie wiem jak to da się naprawić bo całej masy szkoleniowców w tym sporcie raczej nie ma, a pieniędzy na ściąganie kogoś z zagranicy tym bardziej.

    I don't listen to political talking heads, if Trump gets elected he'll pull back NATO's support and Ukraine will be forced into peace talks, period. EU is unable to finance this war themselves. And yeah, people here forget how many medals USA can win in boxing. Plus their main target is China which is doing better in swimming. Nobody in USA cares about these Uzbeks or Kazakhs winning medals in boxing so there will be no pressure to "punish" them.

    Boxing being removed from OG programme also means the removal of DSD boxers in women categories so no reason for controversy anymore. Unless they switch to wrestling or judo?

    Americans will have free hosting quota for boxing so they can count on some easy medals hence the sport will probably stay for LA. Also the war in Ukraine should be over by 2028 and we'll see how that IBA feud goes. This blinking contest is only for the naive masses, nobody is boycotting OG over politics anymore. I have less faith in weightlifting since it's a sport USA doesn't win many medals so it's expendable for them.

    Let's see how this goes in LA 2028 where we maybe get 6 or 7 DSD boxers in women categories if not more. The crackdown in athletics didn't happen because of Semenya but because of the DSD locking out the entire Rio podium. We haven't heard the last of these DSD boxers yet tbh.

    with nine medals overall (guaranteed in volleyball & boxing TBD). We need one more to maintain the double digit count streak since 1960 (we had nine medals in Melbourne 1956). Not a single individual medal from a male athlete though.

    I switched to Polish ES and the first thing I hear is commentator asking the expert: "Who do the judges actually judge here"?

    There is a time deadline 30 mins after the event to file the appeal. There is no deadline when the judges make their final verdict though.

    All the throwers always complain about the wet circle. You have to adjust either way. Mitton had it for a medal if it was dry but I can understand why it's not so clear cut to everyone. Ogunleye 20.00 in the last round to steal gold

    Mitton's third attempt was good enough for Top 3 with ease but she slipped out of the circle due to it being wet. She needed Allman-like piruette to avoid it.
