  2. We have a F1 thread for LeClerc maniacs
  3. Army's triple option seems to be doing well over the past few years tbh. If Michigan needed 2OT to put them away, Ohio State will blow out Michigan even without Urban Mayer. Btw, some conspiracy theories appearing that AB wanted out of Oakland all along and just needed an excuse to get cut. No way Steelers would have originally traded him to Patriots to begin with but it was out of their control now. As a Raiders fan, I don't care anymore. If AB & Pats had contact behind the scenes he was never going to play a down with Raiders in first place.
  4. But it's the inferior version of rugby to begin with. If they put 3x3 basketball into the Oympics would it mean as much as the classic 5x5 game with all the NBA stars? Of course not. Let's not pretend the sevens is a completely new sport.
  5. Olympics men's football is for U-23 players tbh so it's castrated by default. Most of the global stars don't even have a chance to play at the Olympics due to the age restrictions. The same applies to rugby sevens. I'm not gonna mention that either because it's a castrated version of the sport being played at the Olympics.
  6. No, no and no. Tennis is one of these Olympic sports where Olympics are NOT the most important event out there. Golf is obviously the second and baseball the third.
  7. Olympic gold medal is waaaay below any of the Grand Slam titles. Only ones hyping it are the ones who never won a GS but have won the gold medal (Elena Dementieva). This isn't even close. I tell you, don't believe in the second gold medal talk. Serena wants Court's record and NOTHING else.
  8. She wants Margaret Court's GS singles titles record (24) first and foremost. She has the Olympic gold already. Federer (102) wants Jimmy Connors all-time ATP singles titles record (109). Everything else is just PR, smoke & mirrors. Obviously I was cheering for Andreescu tonight. I'm tired of watching Serena winning titles for 20 years
  9. Not a single doubles speciallist here allthough Barty cut her teeth with Dellacqua before and Azarenka has won a mixed GS IIRC.
  10. Can't hate the Pats since they employ(ed) guys named Gronkowski & Gostkowski Btw, Mitch Trubisky looked like Blake Bortles yesterday. Bears ain't gonna win shit if Nagy lets him throw the ball 45 times per game!
  11. Other than that one SB, Saints have had like one good story to tell, bouncing the Greatest Show on Turf from the 2000 playoffs IIRC. I won't even mention who was the first team who lost to the expansion Buccaneers after they started 0-26
  12. I suggest you watch 'Any Given Sunday' to get a better feel for the game
  13. Seems like the Raiders season might be off the rails before it even begins Antonio Brown could be suspended for getting into a shouting match vs GM Mike Mayock.
  14. Well, I'd rather say Ed Reed was a true elite safety, maybe the best DB in the league in the 21st century. And I can't ignore the fact they completely humiliated the Giants in the Super Bowl too

  16. Ray fuckin' Lewis? The same guy who got away with at the very least accessory to murder? You must be the only person outside of Baltimore who likes this guy
  17. 95% of the league has a better SB record than the Lions Not gonna play Daisy Downer but I think the Texans will reach SB sooner than those Lions. And who knows what happens with the Browns within the next 3-4 years? Tom Brady ain't gonna block the AFC path forever Btw, I see the Tigers have even a worse record than the Orioles this season? Back to the basement for those guys again?
  18. Records are meant to be broken after all. Actually his long stride helped him to beat those records even if he was always last from the blocks. It also helped Kevin Young to set the 400m hurdles record, he had incredibly long legs and still nobody can match his 12 stride pattern some 25 years later. 400m hurdles isn't about speed, it's about endurance & technique.
  19. L.A. is still Raiders town? I bet USC is more popular than Chargers there It looks quite bad on TV at the Stubhub tbh. You're gonna play those hideous light blue outfits this season again? If Rams have more success then it's gonna be tough for the Chargers esp. with Rivers in his twilight years.
  20. He won a bronze medal in Osaka WCh 2007 at 200m. I remember seeing him at some junior champs before that, he was quite hyped back then already but American media probably ignored him outright. I guess his height prevented him from being a lock for 100m so people could have been surprised by his 2008 OG results but I wasn't. Though I understand Americans don't care much about other nations in sports they're used to dominate like athletics. Tyson Gay was supposed to win the double in Beijing and he underperformed badly.
  21. Will Cain is still there so they didn't fire him either?
  22. I guess our luck stops here. Turkey will be clear SF favorites at home.
  23. He was a 200m speciallist until 2007 tbh. What doesn't add up is the Carl Lewis story. I've read several reports IAAF doesn't want to touch the 1984 or 1988 doping file cause it would have blown the history books into the sky. Lewis is lucky Ben Johnson proved to be such an idiot. I still reckon Lewis is the biggest scam there ever was who got away with it and he was lucky it still happened during the 80s. I mean he failed multiple drug tests during the '88 US trials and they swept it under the rug. Unbelievable. The cover up only failed with BALCO & Marion Jones but only because it stretched beyond track & field and there was no way they could cover this up anymore.
  24. I don't know that, I watch some of these clips on YT but mostly because of Stephen A. Smith who's like usually around Kellerman. What's the racist knock on him? If it was serious enough they'd have fired him though?
