Track Cycling UCI World Championships 2020
Monzanator replied to George_D's topic in Cycling - Track
I don't follow track cycling all that much but is GB getting some new talent influx? The Kennys, Jack Carlin and Elinor Barker are the only names I know and they are seasoned campaigners? HSBC has pulled out of the sponsorship deal just three years into an 8-year deal so one has to wonder whether this team has reached its high-water mark already? When the Kennys retire it will be a stellar ash down there. -

women are also in strong presence, it's basically our A team minus Monika Hojnisz. Apparently due to the last-minute venue change there was no time to prepare the 4 km loop so there will be no individual races in these champs We have the super sprints instead. -

Jan Kowalczyk passed away at the age of 79 today. Still the only Polish Olympic gold medal winner in equestrian.
-
Has anyone ever won an election on the promise of raising taxes? George H.W. Bush got run out of town when his "read my lips" comment about taxes proved to be false.

If you need 34 rules for anything this means it's not working!

There's only one rule in internet: A lie repeated a thousand times becomes a truth

US Government will never allow California to break off as independent

Yeah, it's obvious nobody believes in the Flat Earth BS. People have done dumber things to milk attention and money these days

I for sure predicted Olsbu to win the mass start

Cross-Country Skiing FIS Ski Tour 2020

Horrible result for Norway only 6 of them in Top 6! -
Tactical mistake from Tarjei Boe and no medal for him.
-
That's why I wrote "season" instead of "time"
-
No bitching about the slalom course from Livio Magoni today?
-
Brignone has won the Crans Montana AC for the fourth season in a row

Cross-Country Skiing FIS Ski Tour 2020
Monzanator replied to Totallympics's topic in Cross-Country Skiing
I want 10 Norwegians in Top 10!!! It has to happen one day!!! -
Too many "technical" downhills mean the technical skiers fancy having a proper run at the speed events. All these Brignones, Bassinos and Vlhovas have more talent than the likes of McKennis or Siebenhofer IMO. The rise of Corinne Suter lately is the only example a pure speed racer can actually hold her own.
-
Roni Remme somehow didn't crash on the last turn and goes 7th. Would have been 5th without the error IMO.
-
Holdener's slalom was only's 0,04 faster than Ledecka. WTF? Seems like Ledecka will get a shocking podium in the combined!
-
Gisin with a horrible run. Couldn't even pass Ledecka's time.
-
Easy 100 points thrown away by Vlhova! Epic choke.
-
It's not Wierer's fault Norway has more depth in biathlon than Italy
-
Wierer has her own gold medals so she should be fine
