Yeah exactly. Until this morning we had like 2 different "universe", one right and one wrong. The wrong one was shut down forever this morning but some users are not able to connect to the right one even now. Everything should be fixed in the next few hours.

That's unfortunately normal. We have changed the server yesterday around 4pm so what you were connecting to after that time was a cached version of the website available only in your browser's cache. I informed people here, but unfortunately I informed a bit late so I guess many users did not read it.

Please try to logout, empty cache and login again. It should work. Let me know.

What is the difference compared to before ? Please show me with a screenshot. We have moved the forum into https secure connection so I might have to change some settings.

Please for those who voted/votes received in the last 24 hours (from Monday afternoon at 4pm CET, let's say), double check if everything is ok because we have migrated the server so some posts/private messages have been lost in the following hours.

Posts written today and in the next hours might have been lost. It is like for some hours the forum is on two different servers and only one is the correct one, but I have really no idea who is on the right one and who is on the wrong one. Everything should be fixed by tomorrow, but note some of your today's posts might have been lost.

The migration has been completed, be careful because in the next hours some users might still connect to the old server and those posts will be lost. I suggest everyone to update the cache.

The forum will migrate into a more powerful serve in the afternoon of today. You might not be able to access Totallympics for some hours. Once the forum will be online again, you might have to empty your cache before you will be able to access Totallympics again, because the server of the forum will be a different one so for the first hours/days if you don't empty your cache you would still connect to the old server (which would either be not available at all or available but not synchronized with the new server).

Do someone have some good social media skills and want to cover the position (but not good enough to required to be paid for that ?

Some could not open the home page because it was "cached" by its browser, some other could open the forum from once device and not from others. Today should be fine for everyone anyway.

For those who still have problems, try to update the home page with F5 (or update button) multiple times until it will be fixed.

Yeah, that was a general problem. The website exceeded the maximum storage space so I had to upgrade it to the following space Backups are extremely heavy because I want to avoid what happened in 2016, when we lost everything and we had to start the forum from scratch.

We have talked about that few weeks ago in this thread. Now with you, @Dennis and @heywoodu you are enough members to start making the thread active. Of course the most difficoult period is the first one, once the thread will be active everything will come by itself. This will also help other Dutch users to join the forum and I am sure more users will join the National Thread once it will get active

Then again, why in case of a tie one of the two options should prevail ? What if one of the users disappear and the majority would change ? Or if another one join ? You really want to loose time to ask from time to time to users what title they would prefer ? I am sure if we had to vote now some users would complain even about the "National Thread" title itself, the same title they are now defending. Why National Thread and not national thread ? What to do ? solution a) Give priority to the admin solution b) Give priority to the majority of users I made just 5 random examples but I would be able to make 100 of them changing all the combination of situations and numbers. Your answer is usually like "just let users do whatever they want", but as you see in my examples, sometimes that is not possible, some users will obtain what they want and some won't (and we are just talking about 3 words in a title, don't forget). If my time was unlimited, the best solution would be to write a rule book so that every situation would have its solution to decide what the title should be, but I am sure you all agree that it would be a crazy loss of time to do that just to add 3 words in a thread's title. And this is exactly why I try to standardize as much as possible, to save time. I already lost too much time writing this message explaining the reason why I think all national threads should have the same title, for sure more time than I would have needed to just change the titles of all threads. But I hope this helps you to understand what I am saying.

I agree when you are the only user from your nation is difficoult, I think the best way would be to wait another user of your nation to join the forum and then coordinate with him/her how to make the National Thread more active. But if you think about it everything has to start from somewhere, I was also the only member of the whole forum when I opened it the first time 7 years ago But this is something not related to the title of the thread, I don't think if users read "Road to Tokyo 2020" they get scared and stop posting or would get mad if they find inside posts not Tokyo 2020 related

National Threads are for discussion only now, I actually try to dissuade users from copying and pasting results because this kills the discussion. But there is total freedom inside national threads, every user can do what he wants in the format he wants and post in the language he wants. It was not like that in the old forum and nobody was complaining, now if I want users to add 3 words in the title a revolution arise, well that's called popularity
