heywoodu 13,557 Posted January 6, 2018 Author #41 Share Posted January 6, 2018 My main fear with these events is that it will end up taking away the events that have made speed skating speed skating for so long. Short track skating is a different sport than long track and so is mass start or these events where people are riding together. 100% against it If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! That's why we won't see the 50km in Cross-Country with intervals anymore. "Who crosses the finish line first, wins" is an easy-to-understand concept. Hopefully there won't be Ski Jumping or Luge mass starts. Edited January 6, 2018 by Quasit heywoodu 1 Stopped watching sports, there are better things in life. heywoodu 13,557 Posted January 7, 2018 Author #44 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Apparently in the men's mass start, everyone sprinted one lap too late Blokhuijsen won the sprint, but Silovs got the win because he crossed the finish first (one lap before the sprint). Luckily ISU didn't at the mass start to the Olympics yet, before clearing up all kinds of things like this. Oh wait.
