Venezuela vs Cuba was a great match yesterday...and today's Nicaragua vs Puerto Rico is also very entertaining (even VEN vs COL wasn't bad in the final couple of innings)...

 

it's always fun to watch some baseball outside the usual suspects MLB and NPB...and Latin American teams are never disappointing in that sense...

This is the end of an era. After agonizingly losing two back-to-back games 6-5, in both cases almost coming back to tie in the 9th inning, Cuba is eliminated. This is the first time that Cuba fails to make an Olympic final in Baseball, let alone qualify.

This is a dumb format. What if the USA loses tomorrow? That won't matter and they will still go into the final round tied with a team 3-0.
