Thanks a lot. :)

So it's right now

:HUN

:IRI

:NED

:ITA

:JPN

:TPE

at the Second tournament, with

:EST

:GER

:UKR

still having chances (in this order), depending on how many of the above qualify in Graz.

What about the reserves for men's second tournament?

why not France?

as far as I know, there's a rule that countries with participation in last two? Olympic Games in Basketball, can't take part on this last tournament.

Ya. I actually think the 3x3 idea itself is a cool idea, but the way the sport is organized right now is just a joke.

One of the things that makes 3x3 a "joke" is how it computes its world rankings. Any country can beat the system by hosting a bunch of local tournaments. For instance, how in the world does Iran able to be the 2nd seed for the women's qualification tournament. If you look at their skills and technique, you would know that they're one of the worst teams of the tournament.

Yeah, they need to update their world ranking format. Not every minor tournament deserves to be given ranking points, nor does the 100th best athlete from a nation should contribute to the ranking.

They also need more than 8 teams competing, but that's an IOC issue.

Watching this :USA v :FRA match, I think it's safe to say that we won't have much a chance against either of these teams in the QFs (if we will qualify for the QFs). Both US and France look good for the quotas.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
