Pretty damn surprised that we're actually part of the fight for an Olympic eventing spot! :yikes:

Yes, Peter Flarup is looking pretty good for qualification, especially now that Switzerland can removed from simulations.

Additionally, Irene Mia Hastrup stands an outside chance to potentially deliver another individual quota for Denmark. She finished 6th (55 points) aboard Constantin M at an event in Poland earlier this month, which puts her total on competitive 61 points. One more similar placing could just do the trick!

Mia won't be going for it according to her Facebook. She had something planned in November but will be finishing her season.

:THA Korntawat Samran completed his minimum requirements aboard Uster de Chanay!

Now both China and Thailand have two athletes qualified. Their fate will be decided in Pratoni (November 14-17), where China will have three attempts to complete a team (Bao, Bianba, Sun), while Thailand will have only one (Chavatanont). There is a reasonable hope for Thailand now, even if Chavatanont already failed twice at CCI4*-L level.

Here's how composite teams work... Aside from China and Thiland, Brazil too is still unqualified. Brazil should have a couple of chances though. Aside from Pratoni, there is also Ocala, FL, which should be convenient for Louisiana-based Nilson Moreira da Silva...

I wish more federations had this mindset: "But Quillota in the middle of December can’t be used as an Olympic qualifier, as it’s an addition to the FEI calendar and only established events are allowed to act as qualifiers, to avoid NOCs putting on extra events simply to push their own riders through."

3x3 is, like, the exact opposite of this. :p

Oldenburg, Grand Prix results...

:BRA Pedro de Almeida (Aoleo) - 65.891% (so close...)

:BRA Edneu Senhorini (Xiripiti) - 62.022%

:JPN Shingo Hayashi (Scolari) - EL

No breakthrough for Brazil, but at least de Almeida is going in the right direction... I was surprised to find out that Japan also is not fully qualified at the moment. :yikes: Like South Africa, they have 2/3 combinations qualified.

Speaking of South Africa, Nicole Smith was entered to compete in Oldenburg too, but looks like a last-minute withdrawal happened. Really frustrating. :(

    • The story of  boxer Dmitrijs Avsijenkovs and his incredible 100%, 29 fight knockout record.    Unfortunately.....   Boxer who was knocked out 29 times in 29 fights finally gave up on his disastrous career
    • apparently our NOC rejected the winter sport federation request to send a bigger delegation.   they published a list of just 14 athletes. 8 in CC skiing, 2 in Alpine and 4 in SkiMo. equal number of male and female athletes in each sport.
    • Yeah, I'm not entirely opposed of different host cities, but 24 hours of sports is not a good idea. Keep it to the 16-18 hour days.
