Swimming at the Summer Olympic Games 2020

Anyway, there's a thread for doping, go with these (currently baseless) accusations there if you want to talk about it. And the athletes should shut the fuck up about this until there's proof.

The final swimming relays will be explosive now. Russia v USA might see podium protests and more and more accusations of Russian doping. Here in the UK the British media are already counting any medal denied by Russians as an honorary medal.

But there is proof Russia should have been banned from these games and none of their athletes should be there even if Rylov himself has never been directly accused nor has had a notably suspicious career.

There's no proof against any of the Russian athletes who are currently competing in Tokyo, otherwise they wouldn't be there.

Yeah, but we know how serious to take BBC when it comes to sports: not at all. They are more patriotic than even the Americans or North Koreans, if that's possible :p

Yuliya Yefimova has served a ban and was very lucky to avoid a second.

A situation around which especially Lilly King has shown herself from her absolute worst side, I can't think of a less likeable swimmer in the whole event, including Efimova..

She is not banned under the same rules that apply to every athlete at these Games. She has served her ban and there isn't any proof that she's currently doping.

ROC  (nor any team) shouldn’t contain anyone with a doping ban in their past.

Why shouldn’t Lily King speak out about a cheater being in the race?
