and Rehák-Štefečeková/Varga won  their second WC competition and second WC win. As I said, this Mixed Trap thing may be our highest medal chance in the Tokyo Olympics

Both Slovak teams qualified for the Mixed Trap finals :cheer:

to be noticed...in this final there wee 2 teams from Slovakia, 2 teams from Spain and 2 teams from Italy...

and finally, a decent result also for our team (even though this WC stage is still very poor for our standards)...

p.s. and I still hate this farce events...give us back the Double Trap (both the men and women's competitions) instead of this sh*t...:wall:

When they will return back the K4-1000 and Canoe Slalom C2, I´ll be ok with the deal to dismiss the Mixed Trap then :d

Clay Target World Cup, Stage #6 ( Tucson, AZ, USA )

Mixed Team Trap

Gold: :USA United States-2 (Corey Cogdell & Casey Wallace)

Silver: :FRA France-2 (Melanie Couzy & Sebastien Guerrero)

Bronze: :USA United States-2 (Kayle Browning & William Hinton)

and also the last World Cup event before the World Champs is over...

it was a minor stage, with most of the best shooters in the World not showing up in the desert, but opting for a different way to fine tuning their shape ahead of the biggest event of the year...

however, in the end the hosts won the medal table with 2 Gold medals, meanwhile ITA, FIN and KOR got 1 Gold medal each...

FRA, ESP, GBR and SWE also earned their presence in the final medal table, but with no Gold in their bags...

now...let's fly to Korea, where in 40 days the All Shooting Disciplines World Championships are on stage...

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.

    • Off to Milan for the 145th session of the International Olympic Committee. Although the agenda has not been published yet, there shouldn’t be any major items over these two days, apart from the election of a member of the IOC Executive Board. This will be the eighth time the session is held in Italy, the last one being during the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.
