No. It was a poor performance by Vikas very surprisingly. No home advantage for the Japanese oppnent which was suspected.

Judgement was fair, Vikash looked much slower than his opponent who was very energetic

Does anyone know why the Chinese Taipei team who are WR3 are not seeded? I did not know that they were WR3 in that case it is an excellent win for Chirag and Satwiksairaj.

The badminton seeds were decided by Olympic rankings and the Taiwan pair were ranked 7th. Since only 4 pairs were seeded, they were not seeded. But they had a very good 2021 when they won World Tour finals and the two Thailand Opens and their overall rank rose to 3.
