Archery World cup Stage 1

India ended their campaign with a bronze medal in the compound mixed pair event at stage one of the Archery World Cup. In hunt for three bronze medals, India could only succeed in the mixed pair event when Abhishek Verma and Jyothi Surekha Vennam combined to prevail over the Turkish team of Yesim Bostan and Demir Elmaagacli 154-148.

Dont understand why this downhill slide. All sports are improving but Archery is going down. Don't expect a medal in Recurve at the Asian games.

That is true. May be some of the earlier archers who were world class have failed at big movements.

    • We have much more events and there may be no Russia in 2026 so most of the NOCs should improve. But not Poland i’m afraid
    • I’ve had 2weeks long Olympic holidays each time since i graduated from the university in ancient times of year 2003   Both winter and summer. Always.   i had those olympic holidays in every job contract 😉
    • For sure better for  one silver - I think it was Shelly Rudman, Skeleton.  Can definitely improve on that.   Still remember it as a good games, though - think it was the first time I took two weeks off work to watch a Winter Games.
