NOT ONE MENTION OF REFORM! Not one mention of how poor police culture lead us to these protests. Not one comment about police who have been misbehaving this week. Not one mention of how he’ll protect Americans who are protesting peacefully. Not one mention about bringing Americans together to create constructive change and true peace.

He did mention: Making sure American’s rights to their second amendment are protected. Using the military against states who disagree with him. Some dumb shit about magically making law and order happen right then.

We’ve 44 President’s and now 1 Racist, Sexist, Facist Dictator.

Trump just threatened Civil War on national television. We are one civilian being shot away from Civil War and violent insurgency. He is threatening to turn the military on the American people.

Are the journalists getting attacked during these protests? That's the only thing that puts this stuff away. If the press really turns against the protesters even though that would actually fall in line with Trump which I imagine press doesn't want to do.

Are you sure? Just recently I read a statement from a Chinese politician from before the last election saying „We want Trump to win. He is a businessman, we know how to deal with him“. Trump had managed to piss a lot of foreign leaders (Iran, Europe, Canada, Australia?) off, which in turn allowed China to gain influence in certain areas of the world.

it may be true before the last election as no one truly knows him. It turns out we are way too naive. he truly play politics like business to bargain with allies and rivals. But as long as it didn't meet his expectation, he would sanction anyone without hesitation and mercy.

They’ve had more issues with the police and National Guard then they’ve had with the protestors.

Even Floyd's brother has distanced himself from this violence. You can't have it both ways since these protests are no longer about police brutality. The guy is locked up and probably will hear charges soon.

Not to mention nobody cares about COVID restrictions anymore either.

COVID’s out the window, the U.S. is about be hit with a trifecta. Possible rapid spread of a semi-deadly virus, major economic depression, and years of anger playing out on the national stage in the form of protests and riots. I always said this year was going to be a fun one in the U.S., but I had never imagined this in my wildest dreams.

Europe needs to be careful that they don’t get swept into this mess either.

I actually think that police attacks on journalists have increased public anger directed at police and the national government.

Like they say, show must go on. That's why I laughed when some qualified morons said "world will never be same again after COVID". Total BS. Things will get back to normal faster than anyone thinks ;)

Wearing a "Press" shirt doesn't make you immune to rubber bullets. If you want to cover a story in the line of fire you have to account for damages. Street riots are hazardous to everyone's health :dunno:

I will say that experts also predicted mass social movements. Damn, they called their shot there.

    • FIS has released the FIS Cross Country World Cup 2026/27 calendar: https://assets.fis-ski.com/f/252177/x/46d75109f7/wc-cal_nordic26-27.pdf    27.-29.11. Ruka (FIN) 04.-06.12. Trondheim (NOR) 11.-13.12. Davos (SUI) 31.12.-03.01. Les Rousses (FRA) 05.-06.01. Oberstdorf (GER) 08.-10.01. Val Di Fiemme (ITA) 22.-24.01. Engadin (SUI) 29.-31.01. Toblach (ITA) 12.-14.02. Lahti (FIN) 22.02-07.03-2027 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Falun (SWE) 12.-14.03 Oslo (NOR) 16.03. Drammen (NOR) 19.-21.03 Ulricehamn (SWE)   oddities in the calendar:   1:There is no stage for the dates 18.-20.12. It turns out that at the beginning of the season there is a 2-week break from 14.-27.12 without any starts; there is no reason for such a long break. 2:Oberstdorf at the Tour de Ski. FIS kicked Oberstdorf out of the Tour de Ski because the weather there was always something wrong and stages were constantly being cancelled, promising that it would no longer do business with Oberstdorf and that there would be no more weather problems at the Tour de Ski. What is Oberstdorf doing at the Tour de Ski again? 3: There is no stage scheduled for February 5-7. This means there's a week-long break without competitions mid-season from February 1-7; there is no reason for such a break. 4: The stage in Lahti (FIN) in mid-February. It can be -25 degrees Celsius in Finland in mid-February. Why risk canceling the stage? 5: The stage in Oslo (NOR) is scheduled immediately after the 22.02-07.03.2027 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Falun (SWE), which means there will be no 50 km marathon in Oslo (NOR). FIS will not schedule a 50 km marathon for the stage before the 22.02-07.03.2027 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Falun (SWE), since no one will come. This means the 50 km marathon will be at the season finale at the end of March in Ulricehamn (SWE). But Ulricehamn (SWE) is Sweden. Also, Ulricehamn (SWE) is southern Sweden. At the end of March, there is snow in Canada, iceland,Australia, and New Zealand. There is also snow in Tibet China, and Japan. But Japan and China have a very negative attitude towards foreigners and will not cooperate with FIS. If the final stage with a 50 km marathon were in Canada, iceland,Australia, or New Zealand, there would be no questions, but southern Sweden? What is FIS thinking?

    • For me most important are the sports i follow all the season: biathlon, cross country skiing, ski jumping and curling (here i follow only European and World Championships). These are my 'golden coloured' sports on my excel schedule. The second group is: ski alpine, bobsleigh, short track, skeleton, nordic combined and some of the freestyle skiing (ski cross and slope style).  The third group: luge, speed skating, snowboard.   I will also look up for ski mountaineering - i never followed this, so I am happy to give it a try.         Sorry i have to say it: if it is a multiple choice poll the results should be number of votes for the particular option divided by number of voter, not the whole sum of the vote. It is probablythe forum engine, but every time i see a bad diagram, i rage out. The results should look like this:
    • Mens   3     Johannes Lamparter, Stefan Rettenegger, Thomas Rettenegger   Ilkka Herola, Eero Hirvonen, Wille Karhumaa   Marco Heinis, Laurent Muehlethaler, Mael Tyrode   Vinzenz Geiger, Johannes Rydzek, Julian Schmid   Samuel Costa, Alessandro Pittin, Aaron Kostner   Sora Yachi, Ryota Yamamoto, Akito Watabe   Einar Luraas Oftebro, Jens Luraas Oftebro, Andreas Skoglund   2     Zhao Jiawen, Zhao Zihe   Jiří Konvalinka, Jan Vytrval   Kristjan Ilves, Ruubert Teder   Kacper Jarzabek, Milosz Krzempek   Vid Vrhovnik, Gašper Brecl   Dmytro Mazurchuk, Oleksandr Shumbarets   Ben Loomis, Niklas Malacinski   1     Chingiz Rakparov
