Well I don’t see them as “parasites”. Most of immigrants I’ve meet have been very nice, friendly people, who contributed well to my state.

There are no significant problems though?

A culture clash maybe, but the United States has many problems. They are not all the immigrants fault, though immigration makes an easy scapegoat. Every single person in my country is an immigrant (save maybe 20,000 native inhabitants). In fact the biggest immigration problem in my country ever was European colonization, and White American Manifest Destiny. Are there bad immigrants, yes; but we shouldn’t let the bad overlook the good (in this case at least).

I’d still say the same about Europe. Do immigrate bring issues? Yes, but a lot of these issues existed before, but there’s someone really easy to blame it on. If the problems are drugs, gangs, and such. Those can be harder problems to deal with, but they can be solved by good policing, and healthy childhood, and an education. It is not impossible to co-exist with someone of a different culture, hell, we do it every time we log onto these website. Do we have cultural differences? Yes, but we have been able to work around those, and at points come to a common understanding.

I’m telling you, the western generation growing up right now is progressive, and in many cases showing socialistic attitudes. It was almost the exact same graphics in the US Midterm elections.

A lot of the problems are 'small' things like certain malls being turned into places one might prefer not going, or bus lines (mostly around those places where refugees are kept and of which the English term has apparently slipped out of my mind) seeing violent people so often, drivers simply started refusing to go there and schools told parents to bring their kids (especially girls) by car instead of letting them take the bus, because the risks are just too high.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
