You are Russian, so maybe you know what will happen to an athlete in Russia if he/she doesn`t publicly support the war with Ukraine (in the sense that he/she will criticize her, for example, in the media in the West)? -

There aren't any yet (at least we don't know about it) but we can assume that they will appear. It's enough for someone not to support the war there and they risk imprisonment or certainly being thrown out of the national team. The head of the Russian Federation is a crazy women - Vjalbe, who once wanted to drop an atomic bomb on London. I doubt that any normal person would want to have someone like that as their boss and the head of the sports federation is the boss of athletes. -

they (IIHF) would have to make some kind of exception to the rules because, "A player, who has previously participated in IIHF competition, can switch national eligibility (but only once in a player's life)" Additionally, it would be interesting to know when she submitted the request to change, it would have to have been at least two years before the Olympics start. -

Antropova has moved to Italy as a kid (she's way more Italian than some people claiming to be Italian despite not even knowing the language decently) , nothing related to hiring random Russians as if national teams were club.
