Looks like that's not a trend so far.

 

So far we had 0 pop-up lifters that magically appeared, but we had quite a few that didn't, despite being on entry list. Congo and Sierra Leone didn't show up today. Tomorrow will be an important day, if Libya doesn't show up once again then they are certainly out.

Looks like Madagascar will miss out in the women's events too unless Cameroon has a DNF. Hopefully they'll get a wild card.

That would be against IWF rules.

If you are not on the list you are not allowed to compete, so I don't believe this can happen

Looks like I missed -77kg yesterday. A whole bunch of lifters didn't show up there (6 out of 14 from entry list). 2x 2x

 

Libya seems to be out of it in fact. It's sad for them, but they might get a reallocation/wild card. As DR Congo also didn't show, Ghana only needs to finish to earn a very easy men's quota.
