Typical american "luck" (i guess we all know the reason why they are always in incredible shape at the world championships) at the world championships, anyone here remembers Caitlin Gregg? Wouldnt be surprised to see them sweeping the medals, Diggins will probably grab a gold medal later on and they will somehow win at least silver in the team sprint.

Laukannen's strong performance makes you wonder what Dahlmeier or Kaisa could have done here ... that also shows how weak the level of competition in womens cross-country skiing is.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

    • Exactly. Recent developments of the construction haven't been particularly encouraging, and while they'll probably get everything sorted just in time, a lot of North American fans have been quite vocal about every minor inconvenience.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
