Oh poor Mile Svilar :( This was his first ever match in CL.  btw he broke Iker Casillas's record as the youngest goalkeeper to ever play in the Champions League. He is 18 yo. Btw he will be probably in Serbian u21 team soon.

People in Portugal say that he is going to be a great goalkepper, there was already a lot of expectation, and he sound actually quite good! (he made that horrible mistake but come on, he is 18 years old, playing against one of the top teams in the world in the best competition in the world).

I am not a Benfica fan, but I think they did a great purchase with this kid, looking forward to see him playing this weekend :)

Paris and Bayern are the 1st teams to qualify officially to UCL R16 , Manchester and Barcelona needs only a point from next 2 matches , Atletico needs a miracle now after draw with Qarabag , they nedd to defeat both Roma and Chelsea and one of those teams fail to defeat Qarabag , Roma destroys England Champions who're really struggling those days 3-0 , Juventus gets closer to qualify after a late goal against Sporting from Higuain and Basel wasted a very big chance to get back to R16 and loses home against CSKA Moscow 2-1 which keeps chances of both teams equal in next 2 matches , Paris is the only team not to concede any goal since the start of the tournament with a perfect 17-0

:ITA We have begun with an incredible Roma (3-0  over Chelsea!!!), followed with a useful draw of Juventus (1-1 at Lisbon with SCP). but end the round with a big defeat of Napoli (2-4 at home against the Man City).

For Napoli  will be tough go to R16, need win against Shakhtar 1-0 (but a clean sheet  for Napoli isn't easy..... ), or with two goals advantage (with 3-2 the Ukrainians will be qualified)

Others:

  • :ENG Manchester City and Tottenham qualified to R16
  • disappointed teams: Atletico Madrid :ESP and Borussia Dortmund :GER the risk of eliminations is very high

Liverpool gave up a 3-0 lead over Sevilla after 1st half , as the game ended 3-3 , Liverpool needs to tie at least in the last game with Spartak to qualify , Spartak wasted a very big chance after tying with Maribor 1-1 , now they don't have any option other than defeating Liverpool at Anfield

Leipzig remains his hopes alive, after defeating Monaco in France 4-1 , Monaco the team that impressed the world last season and reached Semis in UCL,  gave up also the qualification berth to Europe league and this's what u get when u buy 7 or 8 main players for sake of $

    • Personally, I'm really looking forward to Japan's performance in the World Cup. From the current situation, Japan has a very distinctive playing style. They have strong tactical ideas whether facing European teams or South American teams. However, Japan has never won a knockout match in the World Cup. As someone who has been following Asian football for a long time, I really admire Japanese football.
    • Italy didn't qualify again.    Well, now all that's left is for Germany to be eliminated again in the group stage and we'll guarantee another 4 years of "Brazil, the only five-time champion in history, nobody is bigger than Brazil, respect our history and blah blah" that we use on the internet.
    • Failing to qualify for the World Cup once can be put down to bad luck or other reasons, but missing out three times in a row must be due to an all-round gap. I feel sorry for Italy.
    • Italians can only blame themselves. Serie A has been run by foreigners more than any other Top 5 domestic league. There are zero global stars not named Donnarumma. This is the weakest Italian crop of players I can remember and it's not even close.   As for Poland, our defense did a terrible job. Unlike the much-maligned Michniewicz & Probierz who often parked the bus, Urban completely run out of BS luck since errors proved too numerous & too costly.
    • Okay, but defeats to Macedonia and Bosnia are unacceptable. Above all, let Italians start playing in Italian clubs... Look at Milan or Como...  Another think is the old and ugly stadiums - Türkiye or Poland currently have much better infrastructure than we do.
    • Problem is, that the current funding system of Italian sports - since 2018- relies on football paying the lion's share through taxes (around 70% of the sum that is redistributed). So the rest is strong until it can draw money from football, which in turn makes football weaker and less able to generate money and then who knows.
    • I prefer our current strong sport at all and weak football than a lucky promotion and defeat at the World Cup, as in 2010 or 2014. Sinner, Brignone, or Antonelli are worth 100 times more than losers like Bastoni.
    • if tonight's humiliation means 20+ gold and 50+ total medals in 2 years time in LA, I'll take it 1 billion times    and I'd never change the emotions of the 2 Olympic weeks in Milan (and the other sites) with just another average soccer world cup
    • Strong teams advance from the groups, especially since there are now 48 teams playing at the World Cup, not 32. It's Italy's fault that they lost 0-3 and 1-4 to Norway.
    • What's more, the match was started brilliantly today. Bastoni was a complete disaster. What's more, Bosnia must have had 30 shots on goal. They're simply the worst Italy team ever – worse than Norway, Turkey, or Bosnia.
