we will have some new rules in Taekwondo effective from 1 June 2022. some of them are big changes and some fighters have to change their style completely. this video explains them

 

I'm just not sure if "best of 3 format" is mandatory. in their official document they explained both formats. (normal current one and this new one) I don't know what format we will have at the World Championships and other major tournaments but I assume we still go with the old one. they are still testing this crazy "best of 3" format.

 

wrestling tried that format for so many years and that was terrible
