Caught up with more orienteering from Sunday, this time on a more conventional fields and forests course.  Have not watched any since I was literally at School, but it was great!  How annoying though that a Proper Sport like this is not in the Olympics but a dumbass one like Breaking is there instead.  :bones:

Probably was the long distance or middle distance event, as those take place in more traditional locations like fields, forest, backcountry trails, etc.

The sprints are marketed towards urban areas, with the last two World Games serving as good examples.

I can't wait for Amsterdam 2040 (please no Korfbal though)

I doubt Amsterdam would have this though, it's not really a Dutch sport, more of a Frisian thing :p If only Heerenveen or something would go for the Olympics :d

Meanwhile, today the tug of war world championships start :d

Highly uninformative website can be found here:

https://tow2024.de/en/program-2/

No start lists, nothing at all to suggest where results can be found, only a very general program which doesn't say exactly what's going on.

If anyone ( @Olympian1010? ) has any idea about where information can be found, I'm all ears. And of course a live stream would be cool :d

I don't have much to offer for once, unfourtunately.

I can try to make up for that by pointing out the world ultimate (flying disc) championships on are going this week as well. Website: https://wuc2024.sport

Of course, I'm pretty much focused on the Paralympics this week. Most of my knowledge and time looking for infomation is reserved for those at the moment.

That's worth checking out after work, thanks :d

Meanwhile, the world championships website doesn't offer much, but the tug of war federation has more, including...a live stream :d

https://tug-of-war.tv/live

No graphics to speak of, so no idea what we're looking at other than just people pulling a rope, but it's something :p
