no Chinese player in the final  , actually Timo Boll saved 7 match points yesterday to defeat Lin Gao Yuan in 7 games

 Dina Meshref world no.103 made sonme noise yester at women's WC in Canada defeating world no.53  Sabine Winter 4-0 to reach R16 , she'll face  Liu Shiwen

That's cool, not sad...how often does someone outside the top-100 get a chance to play against a great like Liu? It's a huge experience

what's sad is the grammatical errors in my Reply which i found now  ofc. , it helps in gaining more experience

By reaching the quarterfinal in Astana, Dimitrij Ovtcharov becomes the first non-chinese world number 1 in almost 7 years (last non-chinese number 1 was Timo Boll in march 2011)!

Just sad that there are no olympics or individual world championships next year, it would have been amazing to see a non-chinese world/olympic champion, i doubt that he can keep this level until 2020 and even if he does, it is very unlikely that Harimoto won't be absolutely unbeatable by then.
