uk12points 434 Posted May 31, 2016 #94 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Phumlile Ndzinisa ran 11.35 2 days ago in the Women's 200m, she needs 11.32 to qualify. and are potentially in line for a Weightlifting reallocation if they are overlooked for a Wild Card. I believe have all qualified for Rio 2016 in Judo. could be in line for the reallocation of continental quota but I am not sure.

If she doesn't make it she will probably compete in 1500m like in 2012, what is annoying because 3000m steeplechase is obviously her best event. #banbestmen

Yes, we can officially remove them now, as IJF published the final rankings. This the highest number of nations to be removed in one moment. #banbestmen
JoshMartini007 2,536 Posted June 4, 2016 Author #98 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Update (Remove) Men's -73kg (Judo) Men's +100kg (Judo) Men's -73kg (Judo) Women's -52kg, Women's -57kg (Judo) Women's -48kg (Judo) Men's -90kg (Judo) Men's -100kg (Judo) Women's -63kg (Judo) While that is a large chunk removed it looks like we will not get lower than 2012's number of nations which failed to qualify without a wild card (27). We are currently at 32 with only Bangladesh in golf having a very good chance at being removed. Something special would have to happen in athletics between now and July for there to be any chance. Probably the best bet outside of Bangadesh is Swazi runner Ndzinisa who clocked 11.35 over 100m last weekend. Also, Macedonia might have a chance in men's open water swimming. Though, their swimmer seems to be better at even longer distances, but some lucky continental quota might be in cards. #banbestmen
dcro 10,210 Posted June 23, 2016 #100 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Solomon Islands have received a reallocation in weightlifting. I guess that means they should be removed? #banbestmen
