Today it´s 41 years exactly when the legendary "Panenka" move born :d Here the full penalties replay with original commenting (the penalties were commented by legendary Slovak commentator, the celebrations by his legendary Czech colleague) :d

Ah Belgrade  the most memorable city for czech/slovaks for eternity

  • 2 weeks later...

UCL 2017/18 end QR1 ended without surprises,  :GIB  team Europa FC (won 1st leg) out after extra time.

:SMRLa Fiorita draw 0-0 at home, but are out (for a gol 89' in 1st leg...), however is the first team from San Marino to avoid UEFA CL defeat; and with only one aggregate goal conceded is best performance by San Marino team in Europe

Big surprise in EUL QR1 with  :LUX  Progrès Niederkorn :yikes:  defeat Rangers Glasgow   2-0.

Progress N. never won a European game in 13 previous attempts, and had only scored one European goal before yesterday

    • GOLD FOR MOL/SØRUM!!!!    WOO HOO!!!      Phenomenal match this was, the Qataris played really well too (their ball control really let them down at the end though)   Probably one of the best finals I’ve ever watched (Hamburg Elite 16 in 2022 between Bryl/Łosiak and Meeuwsen/Brouwer was another)   What a grind it was from them to come back from down 10-13 down in set 3, also having to save 2 MP’s.
    • I will send my votes after my university exams.
    • I'm going to withdraw as a voting jury member. I definitely want to follow the contest, but I just need a short break from voting in the TISC. Thanks.
    • 3 decades after the separation Czechoslovakia won gold at the ECh in W Doubles
    • what a disappointment must be to South Africa, not only loosing the second final in two years, but also doing it after managing to do the impossible: eliminate Australia.   But what a World Cup, and what a New Zealand tournament!!!
