the basic is the same but with different tricks, different strategy etc. it's a mixture of frestyle and Greco because you can't dive for a single leg attack. 

 

I'm surprised to see ~20 wrestlers in each weight. hopefully that doesn't tempt UWW or IOC to try this in major events. as a wrestling fan I find this very unwatchable !

at the end of the Games, when I look back the results, looks like Iran had 12 realistic chance of medal and ended up with 9 golds and 1 silver. that's really high percentage in term of turning medal chances into medal !

 

beach wrestling results were interesting, 4 Iranian wrestlers had a total of 26 matches, they won all of them with losing a total of just 1 point !  that simply shows the level of other Asian countries. most of them are not really familiar with this discipline. (despite sending some top freestylers)
