Not entirely sure, but he did have a problem with the clips at the first shooting (they were empty by the looks of it, so he didn't fill them after the zeroing, which would be a huge amateur mistake..)

Sincerely I have no idea. but probably the french coach threw bullets for Fourcade in the 2nd shooting, which is ofc unauthorized

Yes, his coach gave him clips instead of a jury member if I'm not mistaken..

Which is also a bit sad that Rastorgujves would get his first win because of a jury decision instead of crossing the line first, but alright.

Well, it seems to be quite a fitting way to get a win for an ultimate "wildcard" athlete like Rastorgujevs.

In biathlon? No, at least not in 2018. There were two young girls at the IBU development camp in Caviahue last summer if I'm not mistaken (both 15-17, but I'm not 100% sure if they were Argentinian or Chilean, I'll ask), so there is some hope for the future. As for now, there's only Maria Cecilia Dominguez and she just doesn't have any sort of a realistic chance at all (in biathlon, in cross-country she should be as good as qualified already I think). Same for Axel Ciuffo, except that he has a much smaller chance in cross-country as well since there are two young guys who are faster. 

 

But as for biathlon, we'll have to do that with no South Americans next year unfortunately.
