Well, in men's technical events for example there is a same pattern going on and on if the conditions are not the best. Favourites lead after run 1, but then there is some lucky guy who was 28th or something after first run, He has a perfect conditions in run 2 and suddenly he finishes on podium on something. Yet the commentators keep saying "surprise, surprise". :p

Oh, yeah, and how many globes Hirscher won in a row? I stopped counting few years ago.

only 5 consecutive and 6 small Globe (3 SL + 3 GS) :teacher:

You mean, how many times were others just not good enough? Five times when talking about the big globes if I'm not mistaken ;)

You mean, how many times he vultured a globe only after an opponents injury when he was out-classed all season prior to that. Two out of the five if i'm not mistaken.

He could indeed just say "wait, you are injured? Ok then, I will not compete while you are injured." I'm sure the Neureuther's and Svindal's of this world would definitely do that and sit out competitions when their rivals are injured yes_new.gif

That's not "vulturing", that's just bad luck for the others. There's quite a huge difference between the two things. Unless Hirscher went to them and hit them with an iron bar to injure them or something, but I doubt that happened.

    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
