St Helens play in Super League (1st Division) and Maidenhead United (National League - 5th Division) lost to Crawley Town (League 1 - 3rd Division) in the 1st round. Whitehaven play in League 1 (3rd Division) and Tamworth (National League - 5th Division) beat former Premier League team Huddersfield Town (League 1 - 3rd Division) to progress to the 2nd round. Barrow Raiders play in the Championship (2nd Division) and Southend United (National League - 5th Division) lost to former Premier League team Charlton Athletic (League 1 - 3rd Division) in the 1st round. Castleford Tigers play in Super League (1st Division) and Boreham Wood (National League South - 6th Division) lost to Leyton Orient (League 1 - 3rd Division) in the 1st round. Doncaster play in the Championship (2nd Division) and Harborough Town (Isthmian Premier League - 7th Division) beat Tonbridge Angels (National League South - 6th Division) to progress to the 2nd round.
