154 pts for :TJK today.

Slow and steady wins the race, but they may run out of time.

146 today... slowly but surely getting there.

Also a skier from :GHA got just over 140 today as well.

Hopefully they'll all go to Lebanon, as that should be their best chance.

It looks like those Lebanese alpine and XC races will be like some Winter Games for the super exotic nations. :d

There is one weekend of racing, just before the deadline (19-21 January). There also some Turkish and Iranian races so I guess they should have enough opportunities.

I though there were two Lebanese weekends actually, but turns out the first one only has children categories.

An update on :TTO he is planning on racing in Iceland, but does not have access to wax facilities. Does anyone know any clubs that can help him out or any suggestions for him?

From another Isafjordur race page:

http://www.fossavatn.com/en

“Our partner Craft Sport offers waxing services at their store, where you can leave your skis and have them done for you. The guesthouses usually try to provide some facilities for their guests who want to wax their skis themselves. There are waxing facilities at the parking behind Hotel Isafjordur, Silfurtorgi 2 where skiers can wax their own skis. You have to bring your own stuff though.”

:HKG Arabella Caroline Yili Ng has assured her qualification, adding Hong Kong to the list of participants. :)

She will also be their first ever winter athlete competing outside of short track.

    • Thank you as well! Sorry for not being able to deliver the results.
    • I think we can all agree, that it is absurd for the World Cup to end in the middle of January.  Yes, there are the Olympics, but it will be a whole month without racing before it. IBSF always crams their calendar week after week, without any thought.
    • Yes she's sick and will be DNS for the pursuit.
    • Team Event     The top 9 teams advance to the next round!   We lose the Clare Banners and the Mayo Banners at this stage. Those nations move forward to the Pairs Event which will take place in the second half of the contest.     Current Standings after Session 1         Q1 Pts Q2 Pts Q3 Pts Q4 Pts 7th  Wicklow Wolfhounds 46  0  0  0  2nd  Belfast Titanics 90  0  0  0  11th  Clare Banners 6  0  0  0  9th  Limerick Leprechauns 37  0  0  0  4th  Galway Girls 71  0  0  0  6th  Waterford Crystals 47  0  0  0  8th  Dublin Druids 39  0  0  0  1st  Donegal Dannys 98  0  0  0  3rd  Derry Oakleafs 89  0  0  0  10th  Mayo Mariners 15  0  0  0  5th  Kilkenny Cats 52  0  0  0
