Well, we all know that these new additions are a joke. What, we will have 6 teams in baseball/softball, 10 people per category in karate... And people think that women's boxing quotas are thin.:rolleyes:

i really dont know that, i presumed that the news sports will take spots for anothers........what a reduced quotas they have!!

Well, To be honest the only addition to the olympic games which makes me happy :) As someone here said, it's much different than other sports plus it's surprisingly really fun to watch :)

My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO. You ask why? Look here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyIOarNAONk

Well, I watched this World Championships to watch Climbing for the first time. I must say I was a bit sceptical for this sport but in the end, I found it really interesting!! (specially Bouldering)

So interesting that made me go and look for Climbing walls here in Lisbon! :p

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
