Since this announcement, the federation has changed its name to World Climbing and the World Cup bacame "Series".

Federations need to stop with this. Felt like we had more and more sports with a regular World Cup circuit, but now they're changing in to World Tour or World Series and it's all getting different names again.

 

Just call your main series of competitions World Cup and make life easy. But sure, I'll be following these World Cup Series

Also changing main global federations name is not good.

Remember, under WA we now have at least World Athletics, World Aquatics and World Archery, which was first.

Yeah, we will to a point all federations will be WA, WC, WR etc. WC and WR are even worst because they have always meant "World Cup" and "World Record"

And while we are at it, can we compel the University of Kentucky to change its name so that it does not constantly get confused with  whenever we search for "UK athletics" "UK swimming" etc etc. Bb

Yes and we are heading towards a homogenization οf all federations' names. I prefer the old ones, iaaf, fina, etc

For all my sport climbing fans, don't miss this in just a few hours - I don't know of any other events in this league that are currently scheduled, but I'm looking forward to the return of my fav sport.   (We just had the USA NCh, but ready for the international comps.)
