How Many Medals do You Expect from Your Nation at the Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026? Road to Milano Cortina 2026

Recommended Posts

OA Sport is probably looking to 2022 and Beijing, where we had many medals: 17, but only 2 gold. Safeguarding expectations? Hopefully. With 28 medals overall, even 7 gold isn't a great result – a minimum of decency, with an average of 1 gold out of 4 medals. In my opinion, to get a place in the top 10 of the medal table, you need to win at least 5 gold medals and 6 to be sure of it.

I always found it hilarious on how people are counting on predictions :p

The Olympic Games are so specific that 7 out of 10 times an upset occur. Sport is not an exact science, and especially under the five rings. I saw so many upsets happening to obvious and prediction sites/bookmakers "certain" winners but yet people still tend to search them lol

All this require that all planets will align and everything will works exactly as it is wished,.. but yeah, sorry this just can not statistically happen :p

Oh man how I heard Shifffrin going to destroy everything in Beijing, 150% safe 2 golds I even read somewhere

Still a chance. Someone will launch a viral hoax on x, following by the NHL boss scares and ban his players from the Games, and suddenly Bronze medal chance back alive :p

One thing working in our favor with Luge is that Women's Doubles is just one sled per NOC, so I like our chances there.  We'll be 3rd or 4th in the Relay (one of my favorite events)...if everyone slides cleanly, we'll probably be 4th, behind :GER:AUT, and :LAT...but anything can happen in the relay.  (I think in my official predictions I had us 3rd.  Wishful thinking, I suppose.)

Don’t underestimate the home advantage for the Italian doubles team… I think a silver medal is possible for us, especially if temperatures drop below zero, as it looks like they will.

3 medals in luge are possible for Italy, but gold will be difficult. Maybe a women's double?

The German doubles team is very strong, and I also expect a German victory in the women's singles and perhaps a silver for Voetter (her training results are AMAZING).

Keep an eye on Fishnaller, I'm hearing some interesting things... They could even win five medals in luge.

Skeleton or Bobsleigh?

if nothing strange happens, the women's doubles in Luge is ITA vs AUT for gold, with GER safe in 3rd (but they're always at risk of putting their sleds on top of their heads, like the Italians)

then, there's an Ocean between those 3 and the rest of the world, it would take really a crash of the top 3 for the others to have a small chance for bronze
