AIN athletes qualification for Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games and possible reallocation of quotas

Russian national team had 5 training groups that year.

Only one of these groups had a training camp at the occupied territories. This was a group of Nepryaeva.

Athletes could chose a group and switch between them.

I do not see any reason for her to avoid the resposibility (both from the sports perspective and legal point of view):

- adult;

- violated the rules of crossing the border;

- was not under the order;

- could switch training groups;

- there were alternative groups of the national tram to train with and not violate the rules;

- getting illegal advantage over other (Ukrainian) athletes;

- using stolen training facilities.

Right, that clears things up a bit more, thanks. I just don't have much against her, but from a personal point of view her not being allowed would be one more quota towards the reallocation and I'd be fine with that I suppose :p

I hope there's nothing shady towards speed skater Marina Zueva?

I understand )) It is a shame that these reallocations in FIS disciplines may happen too late.

As far as I know FIL had consultations wirth the IOC and quickly removed 3 incorrect AIN`s after that.

I do not know if FIS did the same but it looks like they did not. Since we see a lot of AIN statuses for people who do not meet the requirements.

Thus some reallocations may come only after the AINERP review.

I can say nothing on Zueva right now. She is not cleared by the IOC yet, by the way.

But Belorussians (or at least rrepresenting Belarus now) behave lin different way. Russians on the other hand prefer to show loyoalty to the regime since it provide them with substential benefits and positions in local administrations and parliaments.
