Looks like Polish biathlon fed decided to ignore their stupid rules and will send the same men to Ruhpolding! :p

Thats good, but I think Galica should take some rest because of his age and Suchodolski could be replaced by Skorusa for example to give him any chance to show in World Cup

One of the best-ever Women's Relays this afternoon in Ruhpolding.  Unfortunately stuck away on a midweek afternoon so not many people will have seen it.  Must watch though.  No spoilers yet!

Spoiler

:NOR Kirkeeide is like the new T1000 and i mean the new Tora Berger 1000.   That final lap was something else. :ITA Vitozzi made an almost perfect leg and it's a shame she got caught in the last 10 metres. :( At least it was today and not in a month's time.

OK, won't spoil the outcome yet. :d

The most interesting relay in who knows how long and it was after lunch on a working day... It's idiotic that the Germans don't have the weekday starts in the evening, when people are OFF WORK. If i was advertising i'd be fuming it's not at least at 18-19:00...

2nd place for Italy is great, but I'm worried about Lisa's weak run on skies in the last stage, and without a fast run there will be no individual medals in Cortina :( In normal form, Vittozzi shouldn't lose more than 10 seconds to the Norwegian on the last split from the shooting range to the finish line. Perhaps Lisa has had some hard training - she missed the stage in Oberhot and that's why her form in the run on skies is a bit weaker?

Now I looked at the results and I was very happy that Italy was 2nd, but when I saw Lisa's last split on skis, I was a bit worried :(

Yeah,I said before Xmas that when the :NOR women lose a superstar someone always comes through who responds to the best coaches & slowly gains the confidence to win the big races.  Looks like she has arrived just in time

Yeah, think Skjelbreid was the first in the line.  When I first started watching the Norwegian women were well behind the men.  Forsberg, Disl & Zubrilova were the stars.

There were two Skielbreid sisters, except Ann was much weaker. Then there was Gro Marit Istad: a good shooter but weak in cross-country skiing. Italy once had Natalie Santer, then Ponza.

It wasn't once the case that biathlon was mainly a sport practiced in the former USSR and their friendly countries: e.g. DDR?

    • We'll see – Radev has complete power... If he's clever, he'll take over all the media, institutions, tribunals etc., and will does propaganda that poverty exists because the EU, LGBT and the Green Deal are bad  Orban ruled terribly, but for 16 years, he was elected in Hungary thanks to propaganda. It's not that only you have to rule well to have high support. It's just that from what people are writing, Radev isn't as clever as Orban... On the other hand, if he were stupid, he wouldn't have won yesterday with 45%. He can't be underestimated, at all.
    • But these are the times when being pro-EU is no longer cool, unfortunately. That ended around 2010. Now there are plenty of Orbans, Radevs, Trumps, Le Pens, AFDs, etc. Even the Magyar in Hun didn't say much about the EU, because the Hungarians didn't want to hear it. I'm afraid that some Radev-like emerge will soon in Slovakia, because Fico is probably too discredited and will take all power. It's important that it's more of a Magyar than Radev, but Russia will certainly does to get someone of its own there. Especially since, apart from maybe Poland and the Czech Republic, in the entire post-USSR bloc, most people still simply like Russia.
    • The exit poll showed 38% for Radev, and then it rise to 45%, as if people didn't want to admit they voted for him? Well, it had to happen eventually, because elections can't be held every 6 months forever. The question was, who would take advantage of this? They found a old communist who called himself a new party- Progressive Bulgaria :P But, since he was president in your country for 10 years, people shouldn't have fallen for it. Turnout is also very low... Unfortunately, in Bulgaria, it's either chaos, or some strange emerges, like the former king in 2001, then Boiko Borisov, now Radev, etc. What's more, it seems you still have a strong sentiment for communism and Russia, which is why Radev didn't even have to hide his good relations with Putin.
    • We can be embarrassed together.
    • God, I hope so. I just want a pro-European government, that's all. Man, we're tired.
