World championship start book here:

2025-IWF-WCH_START-BOOK.pdf

seems like :PRK  are going to dominate the light & mid weights, at least they are aiming to.

Why are there entries from CWF? I guess that is the Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation?

that's correct, and they are 36 athletes (18 per each gender), most of them are playing in lower groups, but don't know if they just participate under CWF because of not being selected by :GBR team or what?

They are not part of this World Championship. CWF athletes results won't be included in WCh results. they just mixed this tournament with Commonwealth Games qualification.

last year he needed the green light from the Iranian WL federation to participate. that didn't happen. our federation blocked his participation

but since June/July his 1 year waiting period is expired and he is eligible to compete this time.

he is a very shitty person, so obviously I wish him the worst of luck.

Where can we watch this? I see that olympic channel does have streams with playback, but I can’t find them. Are they geoblocked and only available in certain countries?

Yes, they are.

All the Group finals action from the IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Førde will be available to watch live – subject to geographical restrictions - via a digital live stream on Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app for mobile devices.

It will also be available in selected countries on WLHOUSE TV.

Ah right, I guess I am in a country where WLHOUSE TV is available then.

    • India and Pakistan totally losing the plot in this sport, sad.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
