But in Predazzo..

It's cool but it's such a shame it's all so spread even for the athlete parades and such :(

At least we already know Bruna is going to Milan for the actual opening ceremony, but it would be so cool if there was only one ceremony and so most athletes were there.

Yeah, I am pretty ok with the pick as well, maybe Ninis would have been my personal choice, but the guy has official training the morning and his competition starts the next day, so ok for me

I am quite interested how it will work on TV. Tatar leading the delegation in Milan and Čerňanská in Cortina simultanously. Maybe they will split the screen on two parts (or even 4 since we´ll have athletes also in Predazzo & Livigno ceremonies as well, oh dear this is again going to be something else  :p)

I think this will be the case, we might see multiple areas on the screen simultaneously.

Allison Reed is American (just having gained :LTU citizenship to compete).  Interesting choice.  (Not that it makes her any less Lithuanian, and I wish them all the best.)

At first I thought it was an interesting choice considering there could have been multiple choices of Lithuanian-born athletes, but upon reflection she represented Lithuania for a decade now and won continental medal, she was denied Olympics 2 times already due citizenship laws, and she was finally granted citizenship on the grounds of merit and also passing her citizenship exam. She's probably the most recognised olympian by the public in Lithuania this year.

I saw her competing in Europeans few weeks ago in Sheffield and she truly made a lot of effort to greet Lithuanian fans, gave shout outs to the Lithuanian flags while waiting for the judge scores and engaged so much with the fans. So I'm not really mad at the choice, she truly deserves it.

Plus after so long of competing for Lithuania, one might obviously assume she speaks the language by now at the very least to some extent. Cool choice!
