Still a NR! But imo she should go for a shorter distance. It seemed like she lost steam at the end.

She went an 8:05.07 at Canadian Trials :p

Bronze is still incredible since it was her first time competing in the event at worlds. When she first did the 400, she placed fourth at worlds and was below her national record too. Now all she does it win haha

Actually she was 2nd her first time at Worlds in 2022. She was 4th in 2023. But yes, still an incredible result to be a bronze medalist in your 5th or 6th best event.

Yeah, people need to remember that she's not the auto-winner in all events. Especially against the GOAT of the event in a resurgence year.

Currently, I'd argue she beatable in all events except the 200 Fly and 400 IM

If Douglass and McKeown aren’t competing in the 200IM anymore, I’d add that too.

OK, maybe Walsh but even that’s a stretch.

There is a 12 year old that finished 4th. We'll have to see how she progresses over the next few years.

Well we know she will be given the best drugs. So summer should start them as well to stay ahead.
