Pogacar doing the most unPogacar-like tactics in just keeping his lead and not going for stage wins is making the third week a snoozefest

He needs to save some energy for the Vuelta

Sort of a burst that is only going to benefit Onley.

Onley Fans are just one spelling mistake away from  a major surprise in terms of finding "interesting" photos...

More on Paul Kimmage's massive, yet somehow underpublicized item of this week:

Ok, the wheels on the bus go round & round.

An Ineos Grenadiers staff member has left the Tour de France after being asked to speak to the International Testing Agency about doping allegations relating to the 2012 season.

Rare finish on La Plagne today, where Michael Boogerd had arguably the most iconic Dutch cycling win of the last 25 years in 2002, and Mark Padun started his insane 2-day form peak in 2021, before fading away again into nothing and leaving Bahrain because of a reason 'he did not wish to discuss'. Let's see what shenanigans we get today :d

It is a shortened stage: 30km and a climb taken out because of, and this is quite rare, cows getting sick and having to be slaughtered yesterday, so to keep the peace in the area, they decided to avoid that part.

Change to today's stage.  Later start, shorter route and less climbing!

Polka dot wearer Lenny Martinez should - but certainly won't, because, you know - be on his way to a DQ. Massive double/triple sticky bottle on the Glandon, if that's how you need to win that jersey....right.

Martinez got away with it, only 8 points deducted as 'punishment'. Luckily both Pogacar and Vingegaard are likely to finish ahead of him in points anyway.

    • We now know the first few athletes that will compete in the mass start based on the World Cup Standings (13-15 for the men, 14-15 for the women)   Men:    Eric Perrot  Quentin Fillon Maillet  Emilien Jacquelin  Philipp Nawrath  Tommaso Giacomel  Lukas Hofer  Johan-Olav Botn  Johannes Dale-Skjevdal  Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen  Sturla Holm Laegreid  Martin Uldal  Isak Leknes Frey  Sebastian Samuelsson  Martin Ponsiluoma  Campbell Wright   The maximum number of athletes allowed per nation is 4 unless there are 5 or more individual medallists so Uldal and Frey need to win a medal in Cortina to compete, otherwise the Norwegian quotas will be taken up by the top 4 athletes listed.   Women:    Lisa Theresa Hauser  Suvi Minkkinen  Lou Jeanmonnot  Camille Bened  Justine Braisaz-Bouchet  Oceane Michelon  Julia Simon  Franziska Preuss  Lisa Vittozzi  Dorothea Wierer  Maren Kirkeeide  Anna Magnusson  Hanna Oeberg  Elvira Oeberg  Amy Baserga   Like with the Norweigian men, France is only allowed a maximum of 4 athletes unless all 5 win individual medals so Simon needs to win a medal to be able to compete, otherwise the French quotas will go to the top 4 listed.
